Some of the best teams in professional VALORANT are preparing to take to the international stage once more with the arrival of Masters Toronto. Starting June 7th, the top three teams from Stage 1 at each VCT region – Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China – will converge in Canada to battle for one of the most prestigious trophies in the scene.

Let's take a look at the lineup of teams to have qualified for the tournament.

The Missing Stars

VALORANT continues to prove it is one of the toughest esports out there as some of the biggest names in the scene will miss out on Masters Toronto after disappointing finishes at their regional Stage 1 tournaments.

First off, the reigning Masters Champions will miss their chance to defend their crown. After lifting the Masters Bangkok trophy earlier in the year following a dramatic Grand Finals win over G2 Esports, T1 now failed to secure their spot at Toronto. Consecutive losses to DRX and Paper Rex to start the VCT Pacific Stage 1 Playoffs saw the eliminated from the tournament early on much to everyone's surprise.

Likewise, the latest VALORANT Champions winners also missed their shot to attend Toronto. After coming away with the biggest trophy in the game at the end of 2024, EDward Gaming stood just two rounds away from qualifying for Masters Toronto, yet failed to get across the finish line against BLG in the Lower Bracket over in China.

With some of the strongest teams in the world missing from the tournament, will Masters Toronto see a new name to rise to the top of the VALORANT scene?
