North American esports Organisation Evil Geniuses add multiple new faces to the Valorant roster, starting with the addition of Demon1 to the Valorant roster a few days prior. Yesterday, the organization announced the arrival of Screwface from Dark Zero to the main Valorant roster. EG also announced the addition of Jovi as the coach for the GC division.

We have already covered EG Valorant's history in a previous article, and you can read it here. Evil Geniuses had a good run in the 2022 VCT season. Led by the youngster c0m, EG was among North America's top Valorant teams. The team went completely radio silent post the partnership announcement.

Evil Geniuses ahead of 2023 VCT Americas:

The team made moves in the dark and worked towards securing Ethan and BcJ from NRG and XSET, respectively. On 11 November 2022, EG Twitter announced the complete Valorant roster and their plans to make a 10-man roster with the initial addition of BcJ and Ethan. Christine "potter" Chi will head coach the roster and the brains behind the operation.

The main roster for EG will consist of Ethan, BcJ, Jawgemo, Com, and Boostio. The roster will also house apoth and reformed, long-term EG members and part of the roster. With the plans to add three more members. For the rest of the Valorant Squad, EG opened it up to the community, accepting applications from the community. The coaching staff will scrutinize the applications and add players.

A few days ago, EG announced the addition of Max "Demon1" Mazanov. Demon1 is an upcoming Valorant Jett player in North America.

Demon1 was part of the SQN 2.0 roster and won multiple Knights Arena monthly and weekly with the SQN 2.0 roster.

Yesterday, the team announced the addition of Kyle “Screwface” Jensen.

Screwface has been part of DarkZero and competed with the team in the 2021 and 2022 VCT seasons. While Screwface has no major trophies, he won multiple tier 2 and tier 3 tournaments. Playing duelists and Operator, Screwface will significantly add to the EG roster.

EG Valorant Game Changers add Coach Jovi to the ranks.

EG entered the Game Changers space late in 2022. The team acquired the Dignitas Female roster with EMUHLEET, rain, Theia, showlina, Stefanie, and XP3 as the coach. The team won the Astral Clash tournament defeating Misfits Black. EG entered the VCT Game Changers NA Series 3 Qualifiers and defeated Gen G black to qualify for the main stage.

On the main stage, they lost to Misfits and were eliminated from the competition.

After the upsetting results, the team parted ways with EMUHLEET, Rain, and Coach XP3. The team searched for new members for the roster along with a Coach. Yesterday, EG announced the addition of Jovanni “Jovi” Vera as the coach of the Game Changers roster.

Jovi was famously part of the Optic squad for VCT Master Reykjavik 2022, where the team won the tournament. He was also a coach and analyst for 100 Thieves. Jovi will help EG pick the rest of the squad and will surely be an asset to the team
