The 2026 Esports World Cup will boast the largest prize pool in history at $75 million, announced today by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF). The third edition of the annual EWC will feature over 2,000 players and 200 clubs representing more than 100 countries competing for the largest purse in esports history. This figure surpasses the previous records of $71.5 million (2025) and $62.5 million (2024).

Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, shared his thoughts on the improved prize pool:

“The life-changing prize pool exists to support the people at the heart of esports: the players and the Clubs that invest in them year after year. EWC is different because of the Club Championship. One title crowns a champion. EWC crowns the ultimate cross-game Club Champion.”

The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 6 to August 23, 2026, featuring 25 tournaments across 24 game titles. More details, such as the full schedule and ticket pricing, will be revealed soon. For now, here’s more on the EWC 2026 prize pool.

EWC 2026 Prize Pool Distribution

EWFC has allotted $30 million in prize money for the Esports World Cup 2026 Club Championship, a $3 million increase from the previous year. This will be distributed among the top 24 clubs, with the winning team taking home $7 million.

From the total prize money, $39 million is set aside for Individual Game Championships, each with its own separate prize pool. The remaining $6 million will be distributed as Club and Player Rewards. This includes MVP awards for each tournament and the special Jafonso Award, given to players or clubs who win a Game Championship after advancing from a Last Chance Qualifier. Additional rewards will be distributed through pre-event qualifiers hosted by partnered publishers and organizers.

Furthermore, the EWCF will continue its ecosystem support programs: the EWCF Club Partner Program and the Road to EWC qualification system. The 2026 Club Partner Program will again support a lineup of 40 top global organizations. Meanwhile, the Road to EWC will be built on publisher-led circuits and grassroots events, providing defined qualification pathways for players and clubs to reach the Esports World Cup.
