Riot Games' new 2v2 tag-based fighting game 2XKO is expected to come out later this year. That means the time is coming for players to start testing the game! For that reason, the company has announced that a 2XKO Closed Beta will start on September 9th, 2025.

Time to Test Out 2XKO: The Closed Beta

Fans of the game who already had the chance to test out 2XKO during previous public play tests will automatically earn access to the upcoming Closed Beta. Meanwhile, new players looking to try out Riot's latest title can sign up for the beta using this link.

Once the fighting game's Closed Beta kicks off on September 9th, Riot plans to keep the game online from then on and keep the servers running all the way until the 2XKO's official launch, which will come at an unannounced date later this year.

New Champion Coming at Evo Las Vegas

In addition to the news of the September Closed Beta, Riot Games has also disclosed that a new playable champion will be making its way to the game. After the continuous success of Arcane, the new champion addition to 2XKO will be none other than Vi.

Vi will make her 2XKO debut during the Evo showfloor in Las Vegas, which will take place on August 1st-3rd. Afterwards, Vi will remain available throughout the Closed Beta for anyone looking to try her out.

With the addition of Vi, the number of playable champions to make their way to 2XKO rises to eight. These characters are:

  • Jinx
  • Braum
  • Ahri
  • Darius
  • Ekko
  • Yasuo
  • Vi
