100 Thieves officially announces Spring 2023 roster
100 Thieves of the League Championship Series (LCS) announced their new "League of Legends" roster for Spring 2023 on Dec. 8, reuniting two North American Legends and promoting two academy players for a roster of Tenacity-Closer-Bjergsen-Doublelift-Busio.
100T won the 2021 LCS Championship and were finalists in the 2022 LCS Spring and Summer Split Finals. The team made it to the League of Legends World Championship in 2021 and 2022 and exited in Groups both years.

Two legends join the heist
The LCS's most decorated domestic players -- 26-year-old Danish midlaner Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg and 29-year-old American botlaner Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng -- will play for 100T next year.
Bjergsen is a six-time LCS champion and three-time recipient of the LCS MVP award, more than any other LCS player. He played for TSM for seven years and retired in 2020 before joining Team Liquid for the 2022 season. Bjergsen replaces German midlaner Felix "Abbedagge" Braun on 100T; Abbedagge reportedly doesn't have a team for the 2023 season yet.
Doublelift is an eight-time LCS champion and the 2018 LCS Summer Split MVP. He retired in 2020 just after Bjergsen did, and he unretired to take the place of Australian botlaner Ian Victor "FBI" Huang after the player moved to Evil Geniuses this offseason.
The rest of the squad
Starting for 100T after three years with their academy squad, 19-year-old Canadian-Ukrainian toplaner Milan "Tenacity" Oleksij replaces 26-year-old Korean toplaner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho after splitting time with him in spring 2022. Ssumday has joined Evil Geniuses according to a Nov. 23 announcement.
Retaining a 2022 roster spot is 24-year-old Turkish jungler Can "Closer" Çelik. He played for Golden Guardians for a year in 2020 and has spent the last two years with 100T.
Finally, the Summer 2022 NA Academy Most Valuable Prospect, 19-year-old American support Alan "Busio" Cwalina replaces Korean support Choi "huhi" Jae-hyun, who joined Golden Guardians on Nov. 22.
Belgian analyst and coach Christophe "Kaas" van Oudheusden was signed as 100T's head coach on Nov. 28.
