The perpetual face of Chinese VALORANT, EDward Gaming's superstar Zheng “ZmjjKk” Yongkang has now cemented himself in the history books.

In the VALORANT Champions 2024 Grand Finals series against Team Heretics, ZmjjKk put up 111 kills across five maps, breaking the VALORANT Esports record for most kills in a Best-of-Five(Bo5).

The performance broke the record for VCT Esports and Challenger leagues, solidifying his position as one of the best to ever do it.

The stellar performance from the star also helped EDward Gaming lift their first VALORANT Champions. To commemorate his performance, he was awarded the inaugural VALORANT Champions 2024 Most Valuable Player Award.

Leo Faria, Head of VALORANT Esports and Anna Donlan, Head of VALORANT, awarded the superstar with his MVP bracelet.

After receiving the trophy, ZmjjKk expressed gratitude towards his parents for working hard to raise him while reflecting on his journey to the stage. He also reflected on the team’s victory, and what he wants to do next after winning Champs.

“My brother in arms, Smoggy was crying after we won and he asked me ‘Why are you not crying’, and I replied ‘Because we are more than this, this is just the beginning”
