Mel Rises! Winners and Losers of League of Legends Patch 25.19
We are just one patch away from Worlds 2025. While League of Legends Patch 25.19 may have been aimed at shaping the Worlds meta, it still had strong effects on Solo Queue all the same.
With champions rising and falling in strength, it's time to take a look at the biggest winners and losers of LoL Patch 25.19.

Biggest Winners of the Patch
Mel
League of Legends' latest trouble child is back at it. After receiving large buffs to the power of her [P] Searing Brilliance, Mel's win rate spiked by 1.5% in the new patch; currently sitting at 50% in the Mid Lane.
While her win rate may not be particularly scary, Mel continues to be the second most banned champion in the game (behind Shaco) with a near-30% ban rate. Mel may be far from feeling overpowered, but the frustration of having to deal with her [W] Rebuttal is enough for players across all levels to shun the champion in Solo Queue.

Seraphine
Seraphine received a large set of buffs and tweaks with the new patch, most of which were aimed at making her a better solo laner. Despite this, it was actually over in the Support role that Seraphine benefited the most from her recent buffs.
Her current pick and win rates in the Mid Lane don't indicate she's quite ready yet to be played in that role. As a Support, however, Seraphine is proving to be far stronger in a 2v2 lane as her Mana growth buffs allow her to poke more often while her heals continue to be an issue.

Diana
You'd think Brand turned out to be the happiest AP Jungler of the new patch. As it turns out, though, the buffs to Diana's [P] Moonsilver Blade damage to monsters have seen the assassin begin to take over the Jungle.
With a current Solo Queue win rate of 52.07%, Diana is turning out to be one of the fastest, most dangerous Junglers of Patch 25.19.

Biggest Losers of the Patch
Corki
Corki's struggles continue. Admittedly, Corki was already weak. And yet, Patch 25.19 may have delivered this Yordle pilot the killing blow.
The nerfs to Corki's biggest weapon in the early-to-mid game, his [Q] Phosphorus Bomb, have tanked the champion's win rate to an abysmal 46.9%, making him one of the biggest losers of the new patch. Likewise, his pick rate in the Mid Lane continues to be insignificant despite Corki's past as a staple of the role in the pro scene.

Sivir
Whether it be pro play or Solo Queue, Sivir has reigned supreme for too long. Now, Patch 25.19 aimed to correct that with nerfs to the scaling of her [Q] Boomerang Blade. This has weakened Sivir's poke in the laning phase a tad while considerably reducing her late-game AoE DPS in team fights.
As hard as the nerf may have hit Sivir, she still remains a strong pick in the Bot Lane as her win rate refuses to drop below 50%.

Pantheon
When it comes to pro play, Pantheon was proving to be a serious problem. Over in Split 3 of the LTA North, for instance, Pantheon remained banned through the entire tournament, squeezing through the draft phase only once. In Solo Queue, meanwhile, Pantheon wasn't nearly as much of an issue. With Worlds fast approaching, though, Riot felt the need to do something now.
To lower the champion's priority in the Jungle, Patch 25.19 nerfed the damage Pantheon deals to monsters with both his [Q] Comet Spear and [W] Shield Vault. Like Corki, though, the nerf may have been too much, with Pantheon's win rate dropping to a similarly dreadful 46.49%.
Now the question remains: will Riot look to revive Pantheon once Worlds is done and dusted?

Worlds 2025 Meta Taking Shape
With the game's biggest tournament on the horizon, LoL Patch 25.19 had one aim: prepare the stage for Worlds 2025. Champions like Diana and Mel are on the rise, and could begin to feature in pro play more prominently before the season is over. Meanwhile, picks like Pantheon and Corki may disappear altogether.
Looking past Worlds, though, the ripple effects of the latest League of Legends update are being felt all across Solo Queue, with several champions rising to the spotlight, while others fade into the background.
