Where Are They Now? Every Six Invitational MVP Through History

The Six Invitational stands as Rainbow Six Siege's most prestigious tournament, and winning the MVP award at this championship cements a player's legacy in the competitive scene. From the first (proper) tournament in 2018 to the most recent in 2025, eight players have earned this distinction. Their journeys since lifting the trophy tell fascinating stories of triumph, reinvention, and perseverance—some are still competing at the highest level, while others have transitioned to new roles or stepped away entirely. Let's explore where each Six Invitational MVP stands today.

SI 2018 MVP: Pengu – From Legend to Beloved Commentator

Niclas "Pengu" Mouritzen's name is synonymous with Rainbow Six Siege excellence. As a cornerstone of the legendary Penta/G2 Esports roster that dominated the early competitive scene, Pengu secured back-to-back Six Invitational victories alongside an impressive trophy cabinet including four Pro League titles, one Six Major, and a European Final championship.

After five years of competitive dominance, Pengu announced his retirement on March 1st, 2021, closing one of the most decorated careers in Siege history. His transition out of professional play led him to content creation, first with DarkZero Esports and later with PSG TALON in 2023.

However, his most significant post-retirement role came after the tragic passing of KiXSTAr, when Pengu stepped into the casting booth alongside Interro as a color commentator. His deep game knowledge and charismatic personality have made him a fan favorite behind the desk, and he's currently bringing that energy to the Six Invitational 2026 broadcast.

SI 2019 MVP: Kantoraketti – The Journeyman's Tale

Juhani "Kantoraketti" Toivonen shared the glory days with Pengu as another member of the iconic Penta/G2 dynasty, but his post-MVP career has followed a dramatically different trajectory. After claiming MVP honors at SI 2019, Kanto watched his team's dominance fade as G2 struggled to recapture their former magic.

Despite the team's decline, Kanto's individual accolades remain impressive. He was the youngest player to win a Major at just 19 years and 219 days during Six Major Paris 2018, and was the first player to achieve two Six Major titles.

Since departing G2, Kanto has become one of Siege's most traveled professionals, featuring for Rogue, KOI, TT9 Esports, Into the Breach, WYLDE, Fnatic, and most recently, Onyx Ravens. Currently teamless, Kanto's future in competitive Siege remains uncertain heading into the 2026 season, leaving fans wondering if the young prodigy who once dominated the scene will make another return.

SI 2020 MVP: Rampy – The Loyal Underdog

Nathanial "Rampy" Duvall's SI 2020 MVP award represents one of the tournament's greatest underdog stories. Spacestation Gaming shocked the world by defeating favorites Ninjas in Pyjamas 3-2 in the grand finals, with Rampy playing a crucial role in the upset. His loyalty to SSG since 2018 had finally paid off spectacularly.

Rampy rode this momentum to additional victories, including Pro League Season 11 - North America, NAL 2020 US Division - Stage 1, and a runner-up finish at the Six November 2020 Major. His final championship came at NAL - 2021 Season - Stage 3, though he never recaptured that international peak.

After leaving SSG in 2023, Rampy's career wound down through stints with Mirage and Wildcard before returning to SSG Academy mid-2024. His competitive journey concluded with North America League 2025 - Challenger Series playing for NTMR, marking the end of a career defined by one unforgettable championship run.

SI 2021 MVP: Paluh – The Record-Breaking Heartbreaker

Luccas "Paluh" Molina holds a unique distinction on this list—he's the only SI MVP who didn't actually win the tournament. Team Liquid's SI 2021 run remains legendary in Siege history, with their grand finals loss to NIP still considered one of the most thrilling matches ever played. Though NIP claimed the Hammer, Paluh's dominant performance earned him the MVP as a bittersweet consolation.

This heartbreak didn't slow the Brazilian superstar. He consistently reached the final stages of major tournaments—3rd-4th at Six Mexico Major 2021 and Six Charlotte Major 2022, runner-up at Six Jönköping Major 2022 and BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023—but the championship eluded him.

After Team Liquid's disappointing 13th-15th place finish at SI 2025, Paluh joined a rebuilding  w7m Esports(later Fluxo w7m). Just days ago at SI 2026, he etched his name permanently into Siege history by breaking the all-time kills record, becoming the player with the most eliminations in competitive play. Since he's still competing, that record will only grow.

SI 2022 MVP: Achieved – The IGL Who Unlocked Himself

Matthew "Achieved" Solomon's story is one of role evolution and self-discovery. After relinquishing in-game leadership duties at TSM, Achieved unlocked his full fragging potential, finally receiving the recognition he deserved as one of North America's elite players.

His TSM tenure was trophy-laden: DreamHack Montreal 2019, Six November 2020 Major - North America, NAL - Season 2022 - Stage 3, and of course, the SI 2022 championship. When TSM disbanded in 2023, Achieved transitioned to DarkZero, immediately leading them to a second-place finish at North America League 2023 - Stage 1.

However, a disappointing performance at BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023 signaled the end. Achieved hung up his mouse and keyboard, retiring as one of NA's most accomplished players and a champion who found success by trusting his mechanical skill.

SI 2023 MVP: Benjamaster – The Lightning Strike

Benjamin "Benjamaster" Dereli's SI 2023 MVP award came from perhaps the most unexpected championship run in recent memory. Freshly acquired from Heroic, G2 paired Benjamaster with returning legendary IGL Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten (now coaching) and Brazilian mastermind Alem4o, creating an unstoppable force that shocked the world.

Unfortunately, G2's resurgence proved fleeting. The team struggled at both regional and international competitions, with only a respectable 4th-place finish at SI 2024 as defending champions providing a silver lining. A disastrous last-place showing at BLAST R6 Major Manchester 2024 prompted Benjamaster to make a bold move: relocating entirely to North America and joining SSG.

The continental switch has yielded regional success, with victories at the North America League 2025 - Stage 1 and Regional Finals, though international glory remains elusive. With SSG eliminated from SI 2026, Benjamaster's future—whether continuing in NA or seeking opportunities elsewhere—remains in question.

SI 2024 MVP: Kheyze – Part of History's Greatest Year

Diego "Kheyze" Zanello's MVP performance came during w7m's unprecedented calendar year sweep of every international tournament—a feat that may never be replicated. While the team's collective achievement somewhat overshadowed his individual brilliance, Kheyze's machine-like consistency was instrumental to that historic run.

The w7m core was subsequently acquired by FURIA. After a rough 2024 season, they rebounded in 2025 by winning RELOAD on Brazilian soil, showing flashes of their championship form. Kheyze remains FURIA's entry fragger and a vital piece of their system.

However, recapturing that magical 2024 success has proven challenging. FURIA's elimination from SI 2026 at the hands of Falcons demonstrates that championship windows are precious and fleeting, even for historically dominant rosters.

SI 2025 MVP: Handyy – The Twin Who One-Upped His Brother

Thiago "Handyy" Ferreira represents the freshest addition to the MVP club, claiming the honor at SI 2025 in what many consider the most thrilling modern finals. FaZe Clan's remarkable lower bracket run culminated in championship glory, with Handyy earning match MVP seven times throughout the tournament—a testament to his consistent excellence.

The victory carried extra weight for him as well: Handyy not only matched his twin brother Felipe "nade" Ferreira's SI championship but also surpassed him by adding the MVP award. Currently still competing for FaZe Clan, Handyy finds himself in the SI 2026 grand finals once again.

If FaZe prevails and Handyy performs to his usual standard, he could become the first player in Siege history to win back-to-back SI MVP awards, a feat that would cement his status among the game's all-time greats.

The journeys of these eight MVPs illustrate the diverse paths professional Siege players take. Some transition seamlessly into content creation and broadcasting; others travel the world seeking new competitive homes, and a select few continue dominating at the highest level. As SI 2026 unfolds, we may soon add a ninth name to this prestigious list, or witness history as Handyy attempts to become the first two-time MVP.
