The final week of VCT Americas has just come to an end, the final 6 teams advancing to the playoffs have been finalized.

Game 1: Sentinels vs Furia

Sentinels managed to eke out a victory against Brazilian side Furia in the final week. However, this did not help them, as they did not manage to qualify for the playoffs. The North American side won the series 2-1.

Sentinels won the first map Split in quite dominant fashion. They only allowed Furia 3 round wins in the first half on their Attacking side. This carried them to their 13-7 victory.

Things were reversed on Haven, where Furia held the domination. They had a similar, strong Attacking side which allowed them to take the win 13-5.

Bind was almost won by Sentinels in regulation, but Furia pushed the map into Overtime. After trading a few rounds, the North American side finally took the victory 19-17.

Game 2: NRG vs Evil Geniuses

NRG had  an easy 2-0 sweep against EG as they managed to qualify for the Playoffs. Starting off with Binf, EG had a good start, ending the first half 8-4. But then NRG showed off a Defensive Masterclass, and made the comeback at 13-9.

This broke all of EG’s morale, as they had a below average defensive side on Split. The first half ended 7-5 in favor of NRG. EG could muster only 2 more round wins, as NRG took the win at 13-5.

Game 3: Cloud9 vs KRU

Cloud9 enjoy another win, as they cruise onto the Playoffs. KRU, however, is one of two teams in the regional leagues to go out at 0-9 (the other being Detonation Focusme in VCT Pacific).

Kru had a decent start on Lotus, as they managed a 9-3 first half. But the curse struck them hard, as Cloud9 managed to make a comeback. Although KRU managed to get to Map Point somehow, the North Americans had a 6 round win streak to push the map into Overtime. Cloud9 then managed to clinch the map at 15-13.

KRU again managed to push for an even first half, ending it at 6-6. But then they showed off a defensive masterclass. Not allowing Cloud9 to win a single round, they won 7 rounds straight to take the win at 13-6.

But Cloud9 didn’t take this sitting down, and had their way on Split. A strong attacking side allowed them to end the first half 8-4. And they carried this momentum forward, as they won the map 13-9.

Game 4: Leviatan vs LOUD

LOUD qualified for the Playoffs at the top of the table, as they took another win. They beat Leviatan 2-0 in the series.

LOUD started off with a strong attacking side on Haven, ending the half at 8-4. Leviatan managed to pick up 3 more rounds, before LOUD took the win at 13-7.

They made quick work of Leviatan on Ascent as well. Another commanding attacking side allowed them to end the first half 9-4. There were no curses, as they won the map 13-5 off a decent defense.

Game 5: MIBR vs 100 Thieves

MIBR took the final win of the Regular Season against 100 Thieves, as they won the matchup 2-1.

Fracture was quite dominant from MIBR. They ended the first half 804, and carried this momentum through on their defense. This allowed them to take the win at 13-6.

It was a similar start for MIBR on Pearl, as they ended the first half 8-4 again, this time off of an impressive defensive side. However,  100T made the comeback possible, showing off a very strong defensive side to push the map into Overtime, and take the win 14-12.

MIBR took things back under their control, as they took a commanding win on Lotus. Even though the 100T managed to push the South Americans to a 7-5 first half. But then MIBR pulled off a phenomenal Attacking side to take the map win 13-7.
