VCL Oceania First Split Regular Season kicks off today

The first split Regular Season of Valorant Challenger League Oceania kicks off today at 03:30 PM ACT. The VCL Oceania will feature eight teams qualified through open qualifiers taking on each other to qualify for the Ascension league. The first split will be divided into three stages, Open Qualifiers, the Regular Season, and the Regular Season playoffs.

VCL Oceania Format and Schedule:

The VCL Oceania season will be split in two. The first split regular season will kick off today at 03:30 AM ACT. The First split features an open qualifier, the Regular season, and the playoffs. The open qualifiers started with thirty-two teams. These 32 teams were divided into eight groups of four teams. Each group played a single-elimination bracket, and one team from each group qualified for the regular season.

The eight teams in the regular season will take on each other in a round-robin format, with each fixture being a BO3. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams will qualify for the playoffs and the second split of VCL Oceania. The bottom two will have to fight back in the Relegation tournament.

The playoff will be a double elimination bracket, with the top two teams getting a bye in the first round. The top six teams directly qualify for the second split group stage. The two splits will culminate into a single team qualifying for the Ascension league pacific with a chance for a single team to qualify for the VCT Pacific league.

The Schedule for the first split of VCL Oceania will be as follows:

Group Stage: January 16 - February 26
- Matches every Friday, Saturday Sunday
- Two BO3s every match day
- Total of 28 matches
- Matches start at 03:30 PM ACT.
Playoffs: March 7 - March 12
- Double-elimination bracket BO3
- Lower Finals and Upper Finals will be BO5.

VCL Oceania will feature eight teams, with each team qualifying through the open qualifiers.

BOBO: BOBO directly qualified for the second round and defeated IDEK to secure the VCL Oceania group stage.
Mammoth ESC: After hours, they started their journey by defeating Elysium and HOG RIDERs. Mammoth ESC later picked them.
Built for Greatness: Built for greatness defeated OutChasing and XEROX to qualify for the group stage.
Honey Badgers: Honey Badgers defeated Taiyo Esports and Shock Unit to qualify for the group stage.
Fun crew: Fun Crew won the first round, and their second-round opponents forfeited
The Who Plus two: F/A team The who plus two defeated their opponents 2-0 and 2-1 to qualify for the group stage.
Koopa Troopas: Koopa Troopas defeated Kitbash and Spikerush Esports to qualify for the group stage
95x Esports: Bonkers qualified for the group stage. Later 95x Esports picked up the team.
