VALORANT Patch 12.00 Brings Massive Breeze Rework, Agent Changes and New Bandit Pistol
Season 2026 is officially here, and the VALORANT Patch 12.00 is dropping some serious heat. This update brings the biggest map rework in the game's history, a brand-new sidearm, and a whole list of changes that are going to shake up how you play.
Breeze is back after a complete overhaul, there's a fresh weapon called the Bandit ready to change your eco rounds, and Riot is introducing All Random One Site, a chaotic new limited-time mode that throws strategy out the window. Let's break down everything you need to know about this massive update.
Breeze Gets a Complete Makeover
The biggest news in Patch 12.00 is the Breeze rework, and Riot isn't playing around. This is the most extensive map overhaul VALORANT has ever seen, with changes across the entire layout designed to reduce angle complexity, tighten up those wide-open spaces, and speed up defender rotations.
If you thought you knew Breeze, think again. Your old setups probably won't work anymore. The map is back in the Competitive and Deathmatch queues, while Sunset is taking a break and rotating out.
Here's the kicker: Riot recognizes that learning a completely reworked maps can take some time. So for the first two weeks of Competitive play, ranked rating losses on Breeze are reduced by 50%, while wins still count for 100%. It's a smart move that lets players experiment without tanking their rank while they figure out the new angles and positions.
Meet the Bandit: Your New Budget Powerhouse
The weapon meta just got more interesting with the Bandit, a new sidearm that slots right between the Ghost and Sheriff. This thing packs one-tap headshot potential and costs 600 credits, making it a serious option for those eco and light-buy rounds.

Bandit Stats:
- Price: 600 credits
- Magazine: 8 bullets
- Reserve ammo: 24 rounds
- Reload time: 1.5 seconds
- Wall penetration: Medium
The Bandit gives players a real choice during those tight economy rounds. You can invest in abilities and still have firepower, or focus on gunplay without breaking the bank. Expect to see this weapon pop up in competitive play as teams figure out where it fits into their strategies.
Agent Updates That Matter
Several agents are getting meaningful buffs in Patch 12.00, and these changes could shift the meta.
Breach
Breach has been struggling in high-level play, so Riot is adding power back to reward precision and coordination:
- Flashpoint: Projectile speed increased 20% (from 2000 to 2400)
- Fault Line: Width increased from 7.5m to 8m
Harbor
Harbor's aggressive abilities haven't made the splash Riot hoped for, so they're extending the windows of advantage when enemies get hit:
- Storm Surge: Explosion no longer requires line of sight to nearsight and slow players, windup decreased from 0.8s to 0.6s, slow duration increased from 0.6s to 2s
- Reckoning: Slow duration increased from 0.6s to 2s
These Harbor changes are huge for the current meta. The removal of line-of-sight requirements on Storm Surge means you can punish enemies hiding behind cover, and that 2-second slow duration is going to make it much harder for opponents to escape or reposition.
Tejo
Tejo is getting some interesting adjustments to solidify their role as the primary flushing Initiator:
- Special Delivery: Concuss duration decreased from 4 seconds to 2.5 seconds, but now deals damage (35 maximum at center, 20 minimum)
- Stealth Drone: Changed from snapshot reveal to full reveal, pulse radius decreased from 30m to 16m
The addition of damage to Special Delivery gives Tejo another way to clear defensive utility, while the Stealth Drone changes make callouts clearer for the team.
Other Agent Changes
- Vyse gets a buff to Steel Garden (radius increased from 26m to 28m, width from 7.5m to 8m), making site takes and defensive holds more reliable.
- Sage's Healing Orb targeting has been updated to be more accurate with agent models.
- Brimstone's tactical map on Sky Smoke and Orbital Strike received readability improvements.

All Random One Site: Ultimate Chaos Mode
Get ready for pure mayhem. All Random One Site is the new limited-time mode, and it's throwing everything you know about VALORANT out the window.
How It Works:
- You get a random agent every round (no duplicates per team)
- Only one bomb site is active each round, with barriers blocking the rest of the map
- All weapons and abilities are free
- Abilities recharge throughout the round
- Ultimate Orbs scattered around the map grant 50% ult charge
- Kills also grant 50% ult charge
This mode is available on Abyss, Ascent, Breeze, Corrode, Pearl, Icebox, Sunset, and Split. There's no economy to manage, weapons escalate as the match progresses, and you start each round with full ability charges. It's the perfect mode to blow off steam or practice agents you don't normally play.
Competitive Scene Gets Serious
The competitive experience suffered several important changes. The hidden MMR system received updates to improve match quality and create more consistent experiences from game to game. This should mean fewer blowouts and more evenly matched games across all ranks.
Starting with Patch 12.00, accounts detected for sharing in EU and all Ascendant+ players must enable Riot Mobile multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access Competitive queue. Other modes remain unaffected, but if you want to climb the ladder, you need to secure your account.
Premier Stage V26A1 kicks off on January 14, and teams that were in the Invite Division but didn't finish top 16 in the last stage have been demoted.
Player Behavior Gets an Overhaul
Riot is cracking down harder on toxic behavior with updated systems and penalties. Behavior Standing is now live, showing you an indicator on the Social Panel if you have an active penalty or are at immediate risk of one.
The new Community Pact replaces the Community Code and lays out clear expectations: Play to Win. Play Fair. Play with Respect. Or play something else.
The systems for chat and inappropriate name penalties have been adjusted to issue firmer penalties sooner for frequent or severe offenses. If you get banned for an inappropriate Riot ID, you can't change it until the ban expires.
Quality of Life and Map Adjustments
Replays are now available for Custom Swiftplay and Standard matches. Party leaders can opt in to recording in the Custom lobby settings.
Haven and Corrode received targeted wall penetration updates to address positions where teams could impact rounds by shooting through walls without much exposure. Haven's Mid Window got a breakable element to prevent early round wallbang kills, while Corrode's A and B Sites had wall materials adjusted.

PC players get a refreshed Home Screen layout, updated Lobby and Queue Select screens, and a revamped Social Panel with better organization and a new tab for managing friend requests.
How This Changes the Game Right Now
Patch 12.00 is going to shake up the meta in real ways.
- The Breeze rework means pro teams and ranked players alike need to completely relearn one of the game's most hated maps. Expect the first few weeks to be chaotic as everyone figures out new angles, timings, and strategies.
- The Bandit adds a legitimate middle-ground option for eco rounds, which could change how teams approach their economy management. Instead of full-saving or force-buying Sheriffs, there's now a 600-credit weapon that can still get one-tap kills.
- Harbor's buffs make him significantly more threatening on attack, especially with those extended slow durations and the removal of line-of-sight requirements. Watch for Harbor to climb in pick rates as players realize how much harder it is to escape his abilities now.
- The tighter competitive systems and MFA requirements signal that Riot is serious about maintaining competitive integrity. Ascendant+ players need to get their accounts secured before they can queue, and the improved MMR system should lead to better match quality across the board.
- All Random One Site gives casual players a break from the intensity of Competitive while still keeping them engaged with the game. It's the kind of mode that keeps the community active between major content drops.
Season 2026 is starting strong, and Patch 12.00 sets the tone for what looks like an exciting year ahead for VALORANT.
