VALORANT EWC 2025: Everything You Need to Know
VALORANT enters the Esports World Cup (EWC) catalogue for the first time in 2025, as part of the 3-year deal between Riot Games and the EWC Foundation. Set to run from July 8th to the 13th, it will serve as yet another opportunity to watch some of the best VALORANT teams in the world clash live on stage.
Schedule and Format
After extensive qualifiers, a total of 16 teams will be participating in the EWC this year for VALORANT.

For the majority of teams in attendance, VCT Masters Toronto is still a fresh wound, and international victory will certainly be the target. The EWC VALORANT tournament is segmented into 2 stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs.
- Group Stage [July 8th – 10th]
- No byes have been granted. All 16 teams will participate.
- The 16 teams have been sorted into 4 groups of 4 teams each.
- All opening matches are Bo1 (Best-of-1) format.
- All other matches are Bo3 (Best-of-3) format.
- Top 2 performing teams from each group will advance to Playoffs.
- Playoffs [July 11th-13th]
- Single-elimination bracket.
- All matches (excluding Grand Final) are Bo3 format.
- The Grand Final will be Bo5 (Best-of-5) format.

Prize Pool Distribution
A total of $1,250,000 USD will serve as the tournament prize pool, with the winner taking away the lion’s share of $500, 000 USD.
How to Watch VALORANT EWC?
The event will be live-streamed on Twitch and YouTube in English. A secondary co-stream in Korean will also be available.
