Adding to the Arsenal: TSM Valorant adds ex-Gambit Coach Engh

The North American Esports Organisation TSM adds Ex-Gambit Coach Andrey "Engh" Sholokov as the Valorant Division Assistant coach. TSM Valorant was invited to the Knight NA Challengers League and will be playing the first Split of the event starting 2nd February. TSM currently houses seven, corey, gmD, hazed, and NaturE. Daeda, the team's Analyst, is the head coach. Engh will surely be a great addition to the roster as part of the Masters 3 winning squad in Gambit. Engh will bring the CIS strats to NA teams.

Who is Andrey "Engh" Sholokov?

Engh is a Professional Valorant Coach and ex-Point Blank and Overwatch professional who has been active in Esports since 2011. Engh won the Point Blank international trophy in 2013. He played in the Overwatch and Point blank world cup representing Russia.

Engh retired from Overwatch and started coaching in Valorant. Engh started coaching in Valorant with FishkaVtom. The team also featured Nats. Gambit later picked both nats and Engh. With Gambit, Engh won multiple A, B tier events but lost the First Strike CIS to Singularity.

Coming into 2021, the team acquired Redgar and was one of the top teams going into the CIS Challengers. They won the CIS Masters 2021. The team continued winning in CIS and VCT and qualified for the EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. They lost to Fnatic at the stage two challengers. In the third EMEA challengers, the team defeated SMB and qualified for VCT Masters: Berlin. At the event, the team became unbeatable and lifted the trophy.

Gambit directly qualified for the Valorant Champions 2021. They eased their way through the group stage and playoffs to reach the Grand finals. In the grand finals, they faced Acend, and after a long five-map series, they fell to Acend.

2022 started for the roster on a sad note. Gambit released the players due to the ongoing conflict. At the VCT EMEA Challengers stage 1, the team fell to G2 in the lower round 2. On stage 2, they Lost to FPX and exited as #4. In the LCQ, they lost to Team Liquid, placing second. The team had initially decided to stay together but disbanded due to a lack of better offers.

Engh and TSM Valorant:

Chronicle made it to Fnatic, Nats, Redgar joined Liquid, and Sheydos joined KOI. Engh coached for Bonk for a while. Yesterday, TSM announced the addition of Engh as the assistant coach.

TSM recently played the Ludwig X Tarik Invitational with the new team. After dropping to the Lower Bracket, the team came, defeating T1 and Sentinels in a Bo3 to reach the event's finals. In the final, they faced The Guard. TSM edged out the Guard on the first map but lost the next two to lose the series 1-2.

Engh's addition to the team will be a game-changer for the roster. Engh will bring multiple CIS strats to the team, and his experience speaks volumes of his ability to guide a team. Especially with James "hazed" Cobb in the roster, Engh's anti-strating can help TSM be the best team in the Challengers.
