Nikita “trexx” Cherednichen, current player for KOI, has reached a verbal agreement with Team Vitality according to sources. Sheep Esports Alejandro “Anonimotum” Gomis first reported on the move. Should the move be finalized, trexx will then play for Team Vitality in 2024. The addition of trexx will reportedly replace Tomas “Destrian” Linikas on the roster.

This move will also see him reunited with former teammate Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel, who himself recently joined Team Vitality for the 2024 season as well.

Team Vitality 2024 Starting Lineup

Final Piece

This move sees ceNder remain as the only Team Vitality member from the previous iteration. With the departure of Destrian and the addition of trexx, this marks a completely new chapter for Team Vitality. IGL ceNder will have his hands full captaining this new roster, however, they have already shown remarkable progress. Team Vitality made it to the finals of the VCT OFF//SEASON Convergence event, eventually losing to FUT Esports in a close series.

Trexx previously played for KOI as part of their roster in 2023 during their tumultuous season. Prior to joining KOI, he played on GUILD with sayf, where he ranked second on the roster in the EMEA LCQ in 2022. With a 1.08 rating and 214.7 ADR, he was already showing himself as one of the better Initiators in the region.

Despite KOI’s poor overall result of only 2 wins in 9 series played, Trexx remained by far KOI’s best player. Boasting an improved 1.11 rating and 226.4 ADR, trexx was KOI’s best performing player by a considerable margin, even flexing onto Raze on occasions to bolster the firepower. Unfortunately, KOI fell short in performance throughout the season, and they bombed out of the LCQ in 2023 despite showing improved form.

Team Vitality’s Resurgence?

Despite it still just being the OFF//SEASON, Team Vitality has shown to be making great strides in improving their seasonal performance with a fresh lineup of promising talent. Seeing as Destrian typically played the primary/secondary Controller role on the roster, it is likely ceNder will be moved more into that role. Trexx specialized in support/flash initiators such as KAYO and Skye, which is currently covered by Kicks. Hence, some reshuffling of roles will likely be needed for the remainder of the OFF//SEASON.

Team Vitality’s last VCT appearance in 2023 was during the Playoffs of VCT EMEA. Following the unfortunate and tragic passing of fellow teammate/player Twisten, Vitality elected not to participate in the LCQ event.
