With week five already behind us, we enter the final stage of the competition. The week six results will be a major decider on which teams qualify for the playoffs. EG, Sentinels, and MIBR are a loss away from saying goodbye to the playoff chances. LOUD has already qualified for the playoffs, and a win this week will also solidify playoff chances for C9. Let's preview the VCT Americas games this week.

VCT Americas League Week 6 Preview:

Evil Geniuses(2-4) vs. Sentinels (2-4):

Both Evil Geniuses and Sentinels have been underperforming. Both teams have tried making changes but have yet to find their groove. Sentinels brought in Marved during the super week and looked decent, but a loss against Cloud9 last week has lowered their chances to make the playoffs. Evil Geniuses, conversely, defeated Leviatan, a strong contender who will use the confidence and momentum from the win to conquer Sentinels.

The game will be crucial to both EG and Sentinels. A loss would be a serious damper to the team's playoff chances.

Both teams look equally shaky. While EG has momentum, Sentinels have essential pieces. The game's winner will depend on the team making fewer mistakes.

Cloud9(5-1) vs. MIBR(2-4):

After making controversial roster changes to start the season, no one expected Cloud9 to be in its current position. The new Cloud9 has shown absolute brilliance and is currently contending to be the best team in VCT Americas. MIBR, on the other hand, is 2-4 and has yet to find success. They started strong, defeating NRG and KRU, but have yet to play on par with their peers. The game will be C9's ticket to solidify their position as the second seed behind LOUD. On the other hand, The game will have MIBR's playoff contention on line.

Cloud9 obviously would be the favorite to win, but MIBR still has the potential to upset. But the chances are slim, as Cloud9 playstyles have been disciplined and solid.

LOUD(6-0) vs. 100 Thieves(3-3):

The defending Valorant Champions are still getting better with every game. Aspas has been amazing and solidified himself as the best Jett of Valorant. While Aspas is a strong player, the LOUD team has been firing on all cylinders, making them the team to beat at VCT Americas. 100 Thieves, on the other hand, have been struggling on and off. They lost to NRG last week but have the potential to take on the best teams in the Pacific. LOUD obviously is a strong team, but 100 Thieves can take on and down LOUD if they play it well.

Based on past results, the match-up will favor LOUD, but 100 Thieves definitely has the potential to upset the current kings of the Americas.

Leviatan(3-3) vs. KRU esports(0-6)

Leviatan found themselves on the opposite side of an upset against Evil Geniuses, but they will come back stronger. KRU, on the other hand, have been struggling to secure their first win. With the last week's loss, KRU has forfeited its chance to qualify for the playoffs. A win here will be good compensation for KRU, but for Leviatan, the win will count toward a better playoff seeding. Despite the struggles last week, Leviatan still stands as one of the stronger teams in the league.

The fixture will favor Leviatan, and they'd need to do the obvious to ensure a strong position going into the following week.

NRG(3-3) vs. Furia(4-2):

Despite the early-stage struggles, NRG looks in a good place right now. NRG lost to Cloud9, MIBR, and Leviatan earlier this season to fall into an unfavorable position. But after the super week, they won over KRU to equalize the W-L record. FURIA themselves look stronger than ever. They only lost to the current first and second seeds of VCT Americas and have defeated all the other teams relatively easily. A win for FURIA secures playoffs for them, and a win for NRG solidifies their position on the leaderboard before facing LOUD next week.

NRG and FURIA both will be coming off wins in Week 5. NRG and FURIA have the experience and are equally matched in talent. But NRG is slightly favored in terms of structure, but the game's outcome will depend on whichever team makes fewer mistakes.
