The Paris Major is knocking at the door. The tournament is scheduled to start on May 8 and 24 teams will participate in it. Among them, eight have received the Legend status and will start the competition in the Legends Stage.

But among these eight teams, there’s a huge strength difference. And three of them are much better than the rest.

Team Vitality

Many regard Vitality as the next CS:GO Major winners. It’s hard to argue against this view, just because the French squad won the most recent S-tier tournament, IEM Rio 2023, and has one of the two best players in the world, in the person of Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.

Another big advantage that Vitality have is the increasingly great form of Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, who has been impressing everyone recently, often playing even better than ZywOo. This situation is similar to that of Natus Vincere from several years ago.

At one point, Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev was playing almost on his own. And then the management started to make roster changes that dramatically increased the individual skill level of each member. When s1mple received the support he needed, Na’Vi instantly became a top three team.

Likewise, if ZywOo no longer needs to hard-carry Vitality in every single match, his team could win the Paris Major and then dominate CS:GO at least until the next Major.

Heroic

Heroic are currently ranked #1 in the world. They haven’t won anything this year but they’ve consistently finished S-tier tournaments near the top. At IEM Katowice they were second, at ESL Pro League S17 5th – 8th, and at IEM Masters they were again in the Grand Final.

Now, what they are missing most is a Major trophy. They won an S-tier event last year, at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals. But they have yet to win a Major and perhaps another prestigious S-tier tournament like IEM Katowice or ESL Pro League.

Compared to most of the other teams that will take part in BLAST.tv Paris Major, Heroic have a huge advantage. Because of that, everyone expects them to finish in the top four.

Natus Vincere

It wouldn’t be right to talk about the strongest teams that have the Legend status at the Paris Major and not mention Natus Vincere. S1mple wants to win the second Major trophy of his CS:GO career and his current roster is almost ready to achieve this incredible result. With a little bit of luck, they’ll get it this time.

But if it’s not this time, then they will 99% get it next time because the entire lineup is super talented. Very few teams can match Na’Vi in terms of firepower and individual talent. Most CS:GO teams are built around one or two players. But Na’Vi’s players are all very strong.

In recent months, Na’Vi finished 3rd-4th at several S-tier tournaments, including IEM Katowice and ESL Pro League S17.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
