Part of the European Challenger League, The VCT Challenger League Northern Europe Polaris will kick off today at 6:00 PM CET. The VCL Northern Europe Polaris features the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Nordic countries. Nordic Countries are Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway. The league features six directly invited teams and two qualified teams taking on each other in a 43-days long season. Followed by a playoff for the first Split. 

VCL Northern Europe Polaris format:

Similar to all the other Challenger Leagues, The VCL Northern Europe Polaris will be divided into two splits. Each Split will feature a regular season and a playoff. The teams will play each other to garner enough points toward the end of the season to qualify for the Ascension league.

The event features six invited teams and two qualified teams that'd play each other in a round-robin BO3. Each team in the tournament will play every other team. Only the top four will play in the playoffs out of the eight teams.

The playoffs will be double-elimination bracket BO3 matches. The teams will fight for the circuit points and prize pool in the playoffs. At the end of the season, only one team will qualify for the VCT Ascension League EMEA. The ascension league will be an all-out brawl, with all eight EMEA regions fighting for the coveted VCT EMEA spot.

VCL NE Polaris Schedule:

The VCT Northern Europe Polaris kicks off today at 06:00 PM CET. The first Split spans from January 16 to March 13. The complete schedule for Split will be as follows:

  • Regular Season January 15- March 1
      • Two matches every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
      • Matches start at 06:00 PM CET.
      • The Regular season will feature a total of 28 matches.
  • Playoffs March 6 - March 13
    • The playoffs will feature six BO3s
    • March 6 - Opening matches
    • March 7 - Lower Round 1 & Upper Final
    • March 8 - Lower Finals
    • March 13 - Grand finals.

VCT Challengers League Northern Europe Polaris Invited Teams:

The eight invited teams for the event include Fokus, Apeks, and big names in Valorant from Liquid and Fnatic. The eight invited teams are:

  • Who Cars? (Denmark)
  • HSDIRR (Sweden)
  • Fokus (UK)
  • Human Tripwires (EU)
  • Apeks (EU)
  • Bonk (EU)
  • Vamonos (Denmark) (Beacon Finals - Div 1)
  • Les petit Buffons (UK) (Beacon Finals - Div 1)

The league features some of the biggest Valorant talents. Apeks features The ex-Fnatic trio of Magnum, Mistic, and Enzo. LPB featuring L1nk, Russ and the fokus squad. VCL Northern Europe Polaris will also be one of the most contended leagues in Europe. The tournament will be streamed on Valorant League Northern Europe.
