Best Coach of the year:
Despite being a shaky and struggling year for NAVI, they were undoubtedly one of the best teams in CSGO. A significant part of it is because of the team's coach Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi. Joining the team in 2019, B1ad3 helped S1mple and NAVI finally get their hands on the Coveted and Elusive Major, Navi has been chasing since their Inception. With B1ad3 in the picture, NAVI became the number 1 team in the world. They were one of the most consistently dominant and strongest NAVI we have ever seen.
Best Support Player of the year:
Once again, with someone in the NAVI camp, Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy showcased his talents as a support, doing the dirty work and consistently displaying impact. Perfecto, along with Electronic and S1mple, were the three spears of the NAVI's major winning roster, and they overcame everything to achieve their destiny.
Best Lurk Player of the year:
Robin "Ropz" Kool made Faze what they were supposed to be, A Major winner and the consistent number 1 team of the year. Ropz joined the team in January and has since made the team the first International Roster to win a Major. Ropz is the Lurking epitome, a player who gets maximum value and impact out of his lurks, even if the enemy team is aware of him.
Best IGL of the year:
Another one from Faze's camp is the brains of the Faze operation, Finn "Karrigan" Andersen. Karrigan is one of the best IGLs in CS History, and after rejoining Faze in the absence of Robban, he proved how good he is. Helping the team get their hands on the elusive Major trophy. Karrigan redeemed himself of all the past disappointments to become the Best IGL in the game.
Best Entry Fragger of the year:
Despite playing on two rosters, Mareks "Yekindar" Gaļinskis proved his entry mastery to the world. Unmatched in his role, Yekindar's ability to split open an enemy defense and get into a site is second to none. Starting the year with Outsiders/Virtus Pro, Yekindar took his talents to Liquid and helped the team end the year on a positive note.
Best Awper of the year:
The player who has been synonymous with Awping for the last two-three years once again is the Awper of the year. Oleksandr "S1mple" Kostyliev has been the best Awper of the year. S1mple is head and shoulders above the competition. While there have been some more amazing awpers like Sh1ro, Jame, m0NESY, and Zywoo, S1mple has been amazing and better than everyone else.
2022 has been another fantastic year for CSGO. We saw m0NESY coming to age, and S1mple put up another strong year. Yekindar and Liquid trying to roll back to 2019. Faze, and Heroic are getting consistent in every tournament. With every team's upward trajectory, 2023 will be a better year for CSGO.
