Tengis “sk0R” Batjargal has parted ways with IHC Esports, the Mongolian organization announced on Twitter. The 25-year-old rifler said that leaving the team was “not his decision” and thanked his fans for their support.
sk0R joined IHC in March 2022 and helped the team achieve remarkable results in the international scene. IHC reached the top 20 in the world rankings after a strong performance at IEM Katowice 2023, where they beat FURIA and Cloud9 and finished in the top 12. They also won the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: Asian RMR Qualifier and secured a spot in the Asia-Pacific RMR.
sk0R’s departure comes as a shock, especially as it happened just three days after the roster deadline for the Paris Major RMRs. IHC has not revealed the reason behind the move or the replacement for sk0R. The team currently has four players, with Bat-Enkh “kabal” Batbayar still on leave after becoming a father.
IHC Esports has also been facing allegations of fraud and money laundering involving the founders of their main partner, the ‘Inflation Hedging Coin’ (IHC) cryptocurrency. The organization denied the claims and said that the accused individuals had no connection with their management and operation.
sk0R is one of the most experienced players in the Mongolian scene. Previously having played for teams like Checkmate, Team NKT, D13 and 2990 Esports. He has not announced his future plans yet.
