Six Jönköping Major 2022 will be the final Rainbow Six Siege Major of 2022. The tournament is scheduled to take place between November 21-27 in Sweden and features 16 formidable teams from around the globe.

So far, four of the participants have been determined. They are the NA teams, which took part in the North American League 2022 Stage 3. A total of 10 teams competed in the tournament and the best four of them qualified for the Major. The qualifier lasted for more than a month and was full of spectacular matches.

The Participants and the Winners

The teams that took part in the North American League Stage 3 were these:

  • TSM
  • Soniqs
  • Spacestation Gaming
  • Mirage
  • DarkZero Esports
  • Astralis
  • Oxygen Esports
  • XSET
  • Parabellum Esports
  • Beastcoast

Only two of these teams, TSM and Soniques, had no overtime wins or overtime losses. Everyone else went through some really tough games that had a very close score right until the end.

Even the best teams in the tournament lost at least two matches, which clearly suggests that the region is not really dominated by one particular competitor. Rather, the best teams have a small advantage over the rest, which they’ve developed through training.

The winners of the tournament were TSM, Soniqs, Spacestation Gaming, and Mirage. Their records look like this:

  • TSM: 7 – 0 – 0 – 2 | 21 points
  • Soniqs: 6 – 0 – 0 – 3 | 18 points
  • Spacestation Gaming: 4 – 2 – 0 – 3 | 16 points
  • Mirage: 4 – 0 – 3 – 2 | 15 points

What’s strange is the fact that TSM, who were relatively dominant throughout the tournament, lost against two teams that didn’t even qualify for the Jönköping Major. Astralis and XSET somehow found a way to win against them or perhaps they caught them on a bad day.

Against every other opponent, even the top ones that ended up qualifying, Matthew “Achieved” Solomon and his crew had zero problems. Their wins were very dominant and not even a single overtime round was needed.
