In the world of Rainbow Six Siege, no matter how many accolades you get, no matter how many trophies you win, there is one special trophy, one Hammer, which holds more importance than any of the others.

The Six Invitational (or SI) is the highest tier and most prestigious tournament in Rainbow Six Siege. Hosted by Ubisoft themselves, the SI is the ultimate goal for a team to achieve to be crowned as World Champion. They get to lift a replica of Sledge’s Hammer as the trophy of the event.

But SI is not just a tournament. It is also an event of sorts, with various activities taking place throughout the period, engaging both the pros and the community that helped build this community from the ground up.

Public Events:

In 2023, Ubisoft has quite the event planned for everyone attending. Starting with the non-tournament related activities, people will be able to

  1. Buy merch from the on-site shop
  2. Dev Team meet-and-greet
  3. Photobooths
  4. Demo booths for the Year 8 Season 1 update.
  5. Q&A session
  6. Pro team meet-and-greet

Along with these events, Cosplayers are also welcome. They are encouraged to show off their amazing creativity and skill. Changing rooms are also provided in the venue. General rules for cosplayers are that the costumes and props-

  • Should not pose any danger to others and/or yourself.
  • Must follow specific requirements as part of the rules for cosplay which can be found in the cosplay guidelines.
  • Must not contain any symbols or markings forbidden by local legislation.
  • Must be inspected and validated by on-site security personnel.
  • Must be kept covered or hidden during transportation to the venue.

Professional Events:

Now for the tournament side of things, 20 teams will play through the group stages to reach the play-offs. 16 of these teams have qualified for the event via points earned for the Global Standings through the Regional Leagues and the Six Majors held during the season. Those teams are-

  2. Team BDS (Europe)
  3. Wolves Esports (Europe)
  4. DarkZero Esports (North America)
  5. Team Liquid (Latin America)
  6. Astralis (North America)
  7. KOI (Europe)
  8. M80 (North America)
  9. Oxygen Esports (North America)
  10. G2 Esports (Europe)
  11. FaZe Clan (Latin America)
  12. Soniqs (North America)
  13. Heroic (Europe)
  14. MNM Gaming (Europe)
  15. Elevate (Asia-Pacific)
  16. Cyclops athlete gaming (Asia-Pacific)

4 teams qualify through the regional qualifiers. Those teams are-

  1. Asia-Pacific Qualifiers: Dire Wolves
  2. European Qualifiers: Team Secret
  3. Latin American Qualifiers: LOS ONE
  4. North American Qualifiers: Spacestation Gaming

The Six Invitational 2023: Everything you need to know

The group stages and part 1 of the play-offs are not open to the public. These matches can be watched online in the Rainbow 6 Twitch channel, and the Rainbow 6 Bravo Twitch channel.

Part 2 of the play-offs will be open to the public from February 17th - 19th.

Please note that the event is open to everyone aged 18 years old and up. Participants aged 16 and 17 years old are allowed to attend the event so long as they provide parental consent, which can be in the form of a written document. The event is not open to anyone aged below 16 years old.
