The stage is set and the RLCS Winter Invitational for North America will be kicking off very soon. The tournament features some of the best Rocket League teams from around the NA region competing against each other in a double-elimination bracket format. This iteration of the RLCS Winter Invitationals is taking place from March 3rd to March 5th and features a prize pool of $100,000. Not only that but there’s a share of 64 RLCS points.

RLCS NA Winter Invitational: Teams to Watch

Teams Taking Part in the RLCS NA Winter Invitational

This year, all of the 16 qualified teams will be attending the tournament because of their point ranking in the region. Of course, there are some big names here including the Fall Split Major winners Gen.G Mobil1 Racing. But one of the most exciting parts of the game is how unpredictable it is! That means any one of these players could be heading straight to the next Major:

Group A

  • Gen.G Mobil1 Racing
  • Dignitas
  • Koi
  • Shopify Rebellion

All eyes should be focused hard on Gen.G in this group! It’s not common for a team to win more than one Major in a single year in Rocket League but they’ll be setting the tone for what’s to come in the RLCS NA Winter Invitational!

Group B

  • FaZe Clan
  • M80
  • Knights
  • OpTic Gaming

FaZe and OpTic are two of the most well known orgs in the world. However, neither has really replicated their success in Rocket League. It’s safe to say that both of them will be fighting their hardest to change that as soon as possible.

Group C

  • G2 Esports
  • Spacestation Gaming
  • FURIA Esports
  • Ghost Gaming

G2 might not be the most famous org, but they’re one of the most successful in all of Rocket League. In fact, they placed 2nd in the 2022 World Championships. While they’ve had to start a new season after that disappointment, they also won last year’s Winter Major. The RLCS NA Winter Invitational is just the first step on that journey.

Group D

  • Complexity Gaming
  • Version 1
  • NRG
  • Team AXLE

In a group of relative unknowns, it’s hard to stand out. These teams have already fought through the Winter Cups to make it here. While Complexity has struggled to make its mark in recent years, fans will be keeping an eye on Version1 to see if they can break their 5th place curse.

RLCS NA Winter Invitational Format - A Very Quick Turnaround

If you want to get involved, you’ll have to be quick. The entire group stage will conclude on the first day of the competition. The playoffs will take place over 2 days, with the grand finals finishing off the event on Sunday evening.

The RLCS NA Winter Invitationals are a great opportunity for fans of Rocket League to see some of the best teams in the region compete against each other in a high-stakes tournament. Of course, North America and Europe are the most dominating regions in the world, there’s a pretty decent chance that fans will get to see the next World Champions compete! The show will be broadcast live on official Twitch channels, so tune in!
