Rainbow Six Siege X Hit by Second Major Hack in a Week
Just a week after Ubisoft weathered one of the most disruptive security breaches in Rainbow Six Siege’s history, the popular tactical shooter has once again found itself under siege. Players across all platforms are reporting bizarrely specific “67-day-long” bans just days after servers were brought back online, suggesting a second large-scale hack.

67-Day Suspensions Across the Board
Social media platforms and community hubs are flooded with clips and screenshots of the recurring “67-day suspension” error message. The strange duration has sparked speculation across the community, most notably because the number “67” appears to reference the viral “six seven” meme currently circulating online.
Prominent content creators and streamers such as VarsityGaming and Jessica “JessGOAT” Bolden have confirmed receiving the same suspension notices, reinforcing the idea that this is no isolated glitch. For many, the recurrence of mass account-wide actions within a week suggests something far more serious is occurring behind the scenes.

Ubisoft Yet to Issue a Statement
At the time of writing, Ubisoft has not released an official statement addressing this new breach. However, the company’s Global Service Status page reflects ongoing issues across multiple critical systems. Connectivity, Authentication, In-Game Store, and Matchmaking are all marked as either Degraded or Outage, while an additional note mentions that “some issues are being investigated” on all platforms.
These status alerts, combined with player reports, indicate that Ubisoft is aware of the compromised state of the game, even if they have yet to formally acknowledge a second attack.
A Repeat of Last Week’s Chaos
This latest incident comes only days after Ubisoft had to shut down Rainbow Six Siege X’s servers to combat a previous exploit. That breach allowed hackers to flood player accounts with millions of R6 Credits and Renown, forcing the company to take drastic action. It took nearly two full days for Ubisoft to restore normal operations, followed by a rollback that reversed most of the damage caused.

Adding to the concern, reports from the previous attack suggested that the hackers had also gained access to the source code for all of Ubisoft’s previously released IPs. If true, this represents one of the most serious security breaches in the publisher’s history. One can speculate that parts of the Rainbow Six Siege X source code being leaked might have directly enabled – or at least contributed to – the second wave of exploits currently hitting the game.
Community Frustration and Hope
As frustrations mount, the Siege X community is voicing concern about server security and Ubisoft’s communication strategy. A week apart, two major outages have halted gameplay and shaken confidence in the title’s integrity. Still, there’s a sense of cautious optimism among players that Ubisoft will again take decisive measures to repair the damage.
Given the developer’s successful rollback and cleanup during the previous incident, fans are hopeful that an even stricter response will be implemented this time around.
