Ubisoft is gearing up to release Operation Dread Factor, the latest expansion for Rainbow Six Siege. This update introduces a new operator named Fenrir, a Swedish Defender who brings a unique and terrifying ability to the game.

Loadout:

Fenrir's gadget, the F-NATT Dread Mine, impacts the field of view of players, inflicting a Fear Effect on Attackers who venture too close. This effect temporarily limits the affected player's field of view, making it difficult to spot enemies at a distance. Strategic placement of Fenrir's Dread Mines around objectives or entry points can be a game-changer, effectively defending objectives and creating opportunities to eliminate Attackers. Fenrir himself is a two-speed, two-armor operator, offering a balanced playstyle. As for weapons, he can choose between the MP7 submachine gun or the SASG-12 shotgun as his primary weapon. Both of which suit his short-range fighting style. Initially, there was only one secondary weapon option, the Bailiff 410 shotgun. However, due to player feedback regarding limited loadout variation, Ubisoft decided to add the 5.7 USG handgun as an additional secondary weapon choice on May 25. This new option allows players to have a ranged option alongside the shotgun, giving them more flexibility in combat.

New Improvements:

Aside from the introduction of Fenrir, Operation Dread Factor brings several other updates to Rainbow Six Siege. The Consulate map undergoes a significant rework, altering the flow and structure of the map. Players will need to familiarize themselves with the new layout to maintain their competitive edge. Another addition is the Observation Blocker. A new tool for Defenders that allows them to obstruct the view of Attackers during the Preparation Phase.

In addition, Operation Dread Factor introduces the Aiming Lane in the Shooting Range, providing players with a new training tool. Furthermore, a permanent arcade mode is being added, expanding the game's content and ensuring players have more gameplay options.

Conclusion:

It's clear that Ubisoft is attentive to player feedback. As the addition of the 5.7 USG handgun to Fenrir's loadout demonstrates. This change was made in response to concerns raised by the community regarding limited loadout choices and the operator's viability in different combat scenarios. With the upcoming release of Operation Dread Factor, players can look forward to exploring the reworked Consulate map, mastering Fenrir's unique Fear Effect gadget, and enjoying the new game modes and improvements that Ubisoft has implemented based on fan input.
