Parivision defeated Team Liquid 3-1 in the grand finals of ESL One Bangkok. The victory awarded Parivision USD $300,000 as well as 5280 EPT points. With the championship secured, Parivision now leads all other teams in EPT standing.

The victory is notable for each member of Parivision, as this is the first tournament victory for most of their players, as well as the team's coach.

Astini secures another win for South America

Is there anything this man can't do?

The last quarter of 2024 ends with a bang for the South American Dota 2 scene. Heroic became the first South American team to win a million dollar Dota 2 event. And the good times keep rolling in for the region.

Parivision's coach, Filipe "Astini" Astini, has established himself as one of the most talented people in the scene. He was a caster for multiple notable events such as The International 2021, Lima Major, and Bali Major. He then went into coaching full time and became the second Brazilian coach to guide a team to a major LAN victory.

Remco "Crystallis" Arets also proved himself. After years of having his sacrificial playstyle criticized, Crystallis amazed with an incredible KDA of 13 in the last two games.

Another player who came  in with a chip on his shoulder was Edgar "9Class" Naltakian. Due to missing on on the International 2024, 9cCass was replaced by Martin "Saksa" Sazdov. 9Class couldn't showcase his talents on the biggest stage at TI but he did so in Bangkok.

After six years, No[o]ne- lifts another ESL trophy

A monumental achievement for the team. (Credit: Parivision).

Back when he was a member of Virtus.Pro, Volodymyr "No[o]ne-" Minenko won every ESL event in 2018. Since then he hasn't been able to replicate his success with another trophy. Until Bangkok.

Six years of near misses paid off, as No[o]ne reminded the world that he remains one of the best mid laners out there.

While Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin's time with Entity was somewhat lackluster, his synergy with Parivision is undeniable. Team Liquid's mistake of allowing him to play Enigma and Beastmaster was a major factory in their loss in the grand finals.

Parivision's victory has put them on the map. With 2025 coming around, more than a few teams will focus on how to beat Parivision in the future. We look forward to seeing whether they can maintain this momentum or falter in the face of greater adversity.
