Old G Win Western EU Open Qualifiers for DPC
It’s official! Three of the original OG lineup who won The International not only once but twice have come out of retirement. Ceb, NoTail and Topson competed alongside their new teammates in the Western EU Open Qualifiers for the next DPC league.
Their win seems a little less surprising than the announcement of the new team. While fans will need to wait longer to find out how they do in the closed qualifiers, it’s safe to say that this is not the last fans will see of Old G!
Team composition at Western EU Open Qualifiers - New and old friends
With their fellow TI winners ana and Jerax competing in other teams, the original members of OG needed to add a couple of friends to their new roster. The locked roster from the Western EU Open Qualifiers includes:
- Vladimir “Noone-” Mineko (Position 1)
- Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen (Position 2)
- Sebastian “Ceb” Debs (Position 3)
- Arif “MSS” Anwar (Position 4)
- Johan “Notail” Sundstein (Position 5).
The TI champions are joined by two veterans who have played for a number of teams over long careers in Dota.
Noone
Safe lane carry player Noone has a long history playing in Eastern EU leagues. Not only did he play for Virtus.Pro for a while but most recently, he has played for the team that won the first ever TI, NaVi.
MSS
After playing for NA team Quincy Crew for a couple of years, MSS recently fell victim to the disbandonment of Soniqs. Despite incredible performances in previous DPC Leagues, he struggled at major events. Perhaps this will be his year!

Western EU Open Qualifiers - One last ride
This is actually Ceb’s third “last ride” after he was forced to step in at two Majors as a substitute for OG. This was because of captain Misha’s visa problems.
In the announcement, which was made via OG’s podcast The Monkey Business Show, Ceb confirmed that Old G aren’t here to take a potential TI title away from OG’s new roster. They’re in it for the love of the game and for fun.
It seems most surprising for OG fans that Notail has come out of retirement. Recently, he seems to have been taking time away from playing and streaming the game itself. Nonetheless, there will be a lot of players who are thrilled to see him back on the field.
OG vs Old G
Since the old roster retired after TI10, OG came back fighting with a brand new roster. The team then went on to win 2 Majors in 2022! After finishing in 7th - 8th, it was announced that offlaner ATF was leaving to join Nigma Galaxy. He was replaced by DM and fans will need to find out how he works with the roster when the new WEU DPC League begins on January 8th!
However, it’ll be a while before Old G and OG meet on the battlefield. After competing in the Western EU Open Qualifiers, Old G will need to compete in Division 2 before they make their way to Division 1.
