Northeption Valorant adds Tenten to the roster
After the departure of Xnfri, Meteor, and Head Coach Bail, Northeption Valorant starts the rebuild for the upcoming VCT 2023 season by adding Korean Prodigy TenTen to the roster.
Northeption Valorant entered Japanese Valorant in 2021, but it was in 2022 that the team found success. Adding Korean talents JoXjo, Meteor, Coach Bail, and hometown heroes Blackwiz and Derialy to the roster, Northeption started taking considerable strides in success.
After a 5th-6th finish in the VCT 2022: Japan Stage 1 Challengers, The team made a miraculous run at the VCT 2022: Japan Stage 2 challengers, reaching finals and defeating some of the strongest Japanese teams to reach the finals. On the way to the finals, Northeption defeated Jadeite, Crazy Racoon and Reject.
The team faced ZETA in the finals, One of the strongest teams in Japan. Zeta was hot off of a strong VCT Masters Reykjavik run and had not lost in the tournament yet. Northeption took on the challenge and defeated the Japanese seed #1, 3-1, to qualify for VCT Masters Copenhagen.
Unfortunately, the team bailed out in VCT Masters Copenhagen and could not qualify for the Valorant Champions 2022. The team failed to make it into VCT Pacific 2023 but continued to field the roster for VCT Challengers 2023. After the announcement, Coach Bail, Meteor and JoXJo announced their wishes to explore options. Coach Bail and Meteor signed with Gen.G. Soon, and Xnfri, one of the team’s flex, also signed with Detonation Gaming.
Today, the team announced the addition of Tenten, one of Korea’s sought-after prodigies and the brother of the team’s ex-duelist and star, Meteor. The team will be looking to sign more players moving forward and will compete in the upcoming VCT Japan Challengers.
