In a quick video published in the Sentinels Youtube channel, Coach Kaplan took some time to summarize important subjects.

Announcement Summary

First, the recent team's performance in the VCT Americas Superweek with a close fight against Loud and a deserved win against MIBR.

Second, he went over Marved's performance and how well he blended in the team, aggregating a lot of value. He also took some time to comment about the great IGL work Dephh had to adapt Marved to the team.

Last, but not least, the big news: Marved will remain as starting player and TenZ will be benched for the remainder of the season.

The Sentinels' coach acknolwedged that a lot has been happening at the same time inside and outside the team.

The need to focus on the tournament forced important changes to ensure the team's ready to qualify and perform in the upcoming games.

TenZ future with Sentinels

Despite the switch, Kaplan assured the fans that TenZ is not leaving the team. He will just be having some time to reorganize personally and focus on more pressing concerns.

Although the video did not dig deeper on the matter itself, it is broadly known that TenZ's current hand injury and her fiance's Kyedae leukemia diagnosis overwhelmed the player and impacted his in-server overall performances.

Not having to worry about Sentinels' work is sure to be a relief for him and also allows the roster to get back into focusing into their main goal - beating Cloud9 in the next VCT game.

What Kaplan said in the video?

Here is a transcription of the whole video content:

Welcome back. It's been a wild week and with that, there's some things we need to talk about. We just played our super week and while we didn't win both games, I'm really happy with the result.

We had a tight game against LOUD who are the best team in the league right now. And then we had a clean to win against MIBR,which is exactly what we needed.

I really want to call it Marved performance. He stepped in fresh and had some insane lurks and big multi kills for us.

I also want to call it Dephh and his IGL work which really anchored us this weekend. We had multiple role swaps and new players stepping in at a mere 2.5 days of practice and hekept us locking in the whole way through.

Moving on.

Let's talk about the roster moving forward this season is extremely short and very punishing after the past weekend's results, as well as a good talk with Tyson, we've made the decision to start Marved for the rest of the league split.

Marved is here and he's looking sharp as ever so we're confident we can pick up right where we left off with TenZ.

Make no mistake, TenZ is not going anywhere, he's still a part of this team and he'll be with us for every step of the process. It is my top priority to win these next few games and make sure we bring the whole team to Tokyo and represent America Masters.

All right, let's move forward. We've got a tough opponent this weekend in Cloud9. They're looking right hot right now and it's up to us to put a stop to it.

Really pleased with how we looked with two days of practice this weekend and this week we'll be going, heads down and grinding to look much more prepared for this weekend.

As always, thank you to the fans for your continued support, we're going through a lot, but the job is not finished and the work doesn't stop.

Upcoming game

Sentinels next match is already on May 30th against Cloud9 for the VCT Americas league.
