BLAST Premier is one of the leading esports leagues in the world of Counter-Strike esports. Since its inception in 2020, BLAST Premier World Finals has become a prestigious title with top teams vying for it. Amazing showmatches, world class talent and top-tier production has been front and center of these BLAST Premier events, helping them garner the appreciation from fans worldwide.

With the current BLAST Premier year on its last leg, BLAST has already started making plans to make 2024 amazing. For the Premier Spring Final 2024, BLAST has partnered with Live Nation and London & Partners to bring the event to London in June 2024.

Talking about the decision, Andrew Haworth, Program director of BLAST Premier said:

“London is renowned for hosting world-leading events in sport, music and entertainment with the city now setting its sights on being a leading destination for esports. We look forward to working with London & Partners and Live Nation to achieve this aim. Bringing the first BLAST Premier arena event of 2024 to London is an important and exciting first step in this journey.”

Live Nation is one of the world’s largest live entertainment companies. London & Partners is a business growth and destination agency. The announcement is the first step of London & Partner’s ambition to make London a global hub for the esports and gaming events in the future.

The prestigious OVO Arena Wembley aka the Wembley Arena (prev. Empire Pool) will host the event. The 83-year-old neighbor to the Wembley stadium has previously hosted the 1948 and 2012 London Olympic indoor events and has a capacity of 12,500 people. Additionally, it has historically hosted some of the biggest names in Music industry in Queen, ABBA, Beyonce, Madonna etc.

Talking about Wembley Arena hosting the event, Andrew says:

“The OVO Arena Wembley is a state-of-the-art facility and will provide fans with the perfect setting to witness the most talented Counter-Strike and esports players go head-to-head.”

The $425,000 tournament will feature eight teams qualifying via BLAST Premier Spring groups 2024. It will be the biggest Counter-Strike tournament hosted in the UK after the 2019 Faceit London Major.

The winner of the Spring finals 2024 gets the lion share of the $425k prize pool but also qualifies for the 2024 World Finals. The live audience will be permitted in the tournament from June 14th - 16th. Tickets for the event will go on presale from 25th October and the general sale from 27th October.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
