The 4th day of the Lima Major brought a huge upset on the main stage with EG and Talon Esports' remarkable games. Both teams were able to knock out two big names yesterday. Although EG lost to Shopify Rebellion in the next round, they went down with a fight. Let's go back and see what happened.

Lower Bracket Rounds

Evil Geniuses Vs. Team Aster

The South American squad won the series with a 2-1 victory. Team Aster was the more favorable team coming into this game. But EG had a much stronger game plan. Throwing their Marci pos1 into the enemy with the help of Snapfire, secured the lead for them.

Game 2 went the way of Team Aster. But EG did not make it an easy win for them. Dragging the game out to almost an hour broke Aster's mentality.

In Game 3, EG changed up their draft a bit. A Sven & Batrider pick into Team Aster's Sniper lineup, was too much of a counter. Team Aster was always on the defensive this game. Even though they sneaked in a Roshan kill and got the aegis on sniper, none of them made it out of the pit alive. Constantly chasing Aster into their base, EG finally ended the game pre 30 minutes.

Team Spirit Vs. Talon Esports

Team Spirit was one of the favorites coming into this tournament. Fans had high expectations for the TI10 champs as they were making a comeback. And they did so in game 1 of this series. With Yatoro on his famous Spectre, he dominated the game with an echo into Aghs item build. However, to everyone's surprise, Talon won the series with a reverse sweep. In Game 2, Talon dominated the lane and started getting early pick-offs. This left "23savage" to free-farm on Slark. Even though he overstepped his bounds a few times, Talon won the game.

Team Spirit dominated the first 30 minutes of Game 3. Talon was trying to keep up, but Magnus' RP into Yatoro's Terrorblade was too much damage.

As the game went on, a crucial Chrono from 23savage killed Yatoro. After pulling this off a second time, it panicked Terrorblade into a 'die-back'. Finally forcing Spirit to tap out, eliminating them from the Lima Major.

Shopify Rebellion Vs. EG

This series went the way of SR. But gaining experience throughout this tournament, EG put up a good fight. Being a crowd favorite, EG did their best and forced a formidable team like SR to go the distance.

Game 1 was chaos from the start. With constant ganks on both sides, EG slowly started pulling the game to their side. This forced SR to call 'gg' 30 minutes into the game. Although games 2 & 3 went the way of SR. With "Arteezy" on his Luna, they were able to dominate both games. In game 2, SR got mega creeps after 35 minutes, pressuring EG to quit. Even though SR lost bottom racks, Luna's tower push was too much for EG. EG finally tapped out of the Lima Major.
