A first look at what Patch 25.22 of League of Legends has in store for us is out. Though it won't be the biggest patch in the game's history, the new LoL update will introduce buffs and adjustments to a few forgotten champions and fan favorites, while also toning down some of the picks that are dominating the game as of late.

Let's take a look at what's coming our way when LoL Patch 25.22 arrives on November 5th!

Yone and Aurelion Sol Rise in the Mid Lane

Two champions that look to be the biggest winners of the new League of Legends patch are Yone and Aurelion Sol. The celestial dragon will receive a small damage buff to his [Q] Breath of Light. Moreover, Aurelion Sol will also be receiving a bump (+5) to his base Movement Speed, something which will help him in every facet of the game.

Yone, meanwhile, is getting a buff to the base damage of his trademark ability, [Q] Mortal Steel, meaning he will be a little deadlier right from the get-go.

LeBlanc Players Must Tread with Caution

LoL Patch 25.22 intends to nerf LeBlanc's durability by lowering her base HP and armor per level numbers. This makes it so that the champion will now need to choose her angles and timings more carefully when attempting to dive in to execute an enemy carry.

Squishier than ever moving forward, a single misstep can spell LeBlanc's demise, so it's time to sharpen up on your decision-making!

Skarner Gets Some Much Needed Attention

Skarner has seen it all since his latest rework. After rising to the top of the League of Legends champion pool for a while, Skarner saw some nerfs that have since left him to be forgotten by most of the player base. Now, Skarner will finally be getting some tweaks that aim to give Skarner some power back.

LoL Patch 25.22 will give Skarner a buff to his AD per level, as well as AD scaling buffs to his [Q] Shattered Earth/Upheaval and [E] Ixtal's Impact. To compensate for these buffs, though, Skarner's ultimate will now have a slightly longer cast time (0.75 seconds), making it more difficult to land game-changing ultimates without any form of setup.

Skarner getting bonus AD scaling buffs to his abilities will no doubt see players experiment with different builds for the champion in Patch 25.22, likely straying away from full tank builds and towards more bruiser-type items.

Top Volibear Up, Jungle Volibear Down

For most of the year, Volibear has been a dominant Jungler at every rank. Now, Patch 25.22 of League of Legends aims to tap down some of the champion's Jungle strengths, while simultaneously giving him some love in the Top Lane.

To do this, the new patch will make Volibear a slightly better duelist through buffs to his base AD and base armor values. A very small nerf to the movement speed gain from his [Q] Thundering Smash, however, will see Volibear's ganks lose a bit of power in the Jungle.

A Year of League of Legends

The year is drawing to a close, with only two more patches remaining after LoL Patch 25.22. While the new update won't completely flip the script, there's still plenty to look forward to. From champion buffs, nerfs, and tweaks, to the arrival of brand new cosmetics such as the new Mecha Kingdoms skins, Patch 25.22 has something for everyone!
