French esports organization Karmine Corp achieved an unprecedented milestone at the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major, becoming the first team in Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) history to complete a clean sweep in a Grand Final. Their flawless 4-0 victory over North America's The Ultimates captivated the audience at the bp pulse LIVE Arena in Birmingham, England, and solidified their dominance in competitive Rocket League.

The Road to History

Karmine Corp's path to this historic moment was marked by consistency and dominance across all stages of the tournament:

  • Swiss Stage: The team went undefeated with commanding victories over Twisted Minds, FURIA, and NRG, showcasing their adaptability and tactical prowess.
  • Playoffs: After dispatching of NRG again in the Quarterfinals with a 4-2 win, KC delivered a lightning-fast 4-0 sweep of FURIA in the Semifinals, setting the tone for their Grand Finals performance.
  • Grand Final: The Ultimates, who had battled through tough matches to reach the final, were unable to match Karmine Corp’s precision and control. The French team secured victories across four maps—Mannfield (Night), Forbidden Temple, DFH Stadium, and Utopia Coliseum (Dusk)—without dropping a single game.

Individual Achievements

The tournament also marked significant milestones for Karmine Corp’s roster:

  • dralii earned his first MVP title in his debut event with Karmine Corp after joining from Team BDS during the off-season.
  • Vatira claimed his record-breaking third RLCS Major title, further cementing his legacy as one of Rocket League’s all-time greats.
  • Rising star Atow celebrated his first career trophy, showcasing his potential as a future cornerstone of the team.

Prize Pool, RLCS Points and the Clean Sweep

The clean sweep was a groundbreaking achievement in RLCS history. No team had ever managed to win a Major Final without conceding a single game. This feat underscores Karmine Corp’s unparalleled preparation, teamwork, and execution at every level of play. It also sets a new benchmark for excellence in competitive Rocket League and highlights their ability to dominate even against top-tier opponents.

With that, Karmine Corp earned $102,000 from the $351,000 prize pool and 30 RLCS points—critical for securing their path to this year’s World Championship. The Ultimates, meanwhile, took home $51,000 and 20 points for their runner-up finish.

Looking Ahead

With momentum firmly on their side, Karmine Corp now sets its sights on the RLCS Raleigh Major later this year. Their historic victory at Birmingham positions them as clear favorites heading into the next phase of the season.

This triumph will be remembered not just as a championship win but as a defining moment that reshaped expectations for what is possible in Rocket League esports.
