Two of the most prominent organizations in Europe, Giants from Spain and the English Excel Esports, have joined forces to form GiantX.

The former Giants CEO and Co-founder Jose Diaz and CEO of Excel Esports Tim Reichart will serve as the new Co-CEOs of GiantX. JRJ Group, who acquired Excel Esports in 2018 will continue as the controlling shareholder of GiantX.

The new organization has retained much of its workforce, including the London and Malaga headquarters and the Berlin performance center. With the combined resources, GiantX plans to explore new opportunities and entry into other competitive gaming titles.

They aim to cater to a diverse fan base and create bilingual content. They'd also target the massive Spanish-speaking audience and be the new team for the Spanish region to root for.

The combined new European powerhouse will compete in place of Giants in VCT EMEA 2024, Excel Esports in LEC 2024 and in the Spanish LVP and Game Changers.

For VCT 2024, the organization will retain the former Giants VCT EMEA 2024 squad. The squad had a strong 2023 season playing in the new established EMEA league.

The GiantX VCT EMEA 2024 squad is:

They will compete in the LEC 2024 with Excel's core of Odoamne, Peach and Patrick. They have announced the addition of former Entropiq midlaner Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek and former NRG support Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun, who'd make his LEC debut coming Sprint split, to round off the roster.

The GiantX's LEC 2024 team is:

The Excel core struggled to achieve significant results throughout the year. They did place 2nd in the Summer split but failed to qualify for the Worlds 2023.

The GiantX League and Valorant squad will compete in the upcoming LEC Spring 2024 and VCT EMEA 2024 starting  next year. The combined resources will help them secure better resources, helping the teams reach greater heights.
