GH Shares What He Hates About Dota 2 Pubs
Nigma Galaxy is on a roll at DreamLeague Season 26. With a 5-3 score, the team is tied for second place in their group and nearly guaranteed a spot in the second playoffs.
After defeating the new OG squad, Maroun "GH" Merhej had a post-game interview discussing which hero he'd like to see in the meta, what he hates in Dota 2 pubs, and thoughts on the upcoming Esports World Cup.
GH: "I don't recall anyone I play with in pubs."

Dota 2 patch 7.38 was released on February 19th and while there have been several balance updates since, the meta has more or less stabilized. As such, most teams are sticking to the best picks and not experimenting in tournaments.
GH shared which hero he'd like to see in pro games, "I'm excited to see Treant Protector. Not from me, but from someone. We have to find out if he's solid, someone has to play it."
Due to Omar "OmaR" Moughrabi leaving the team for the tournament, Nigma Galaxy had to bring a stand-in. While GH hasn't met Daniyal "yamich" Lazebnyy before, he shared only positive things about him.
"Big shout out to OmaR, We already miss the guy, we love him a lot. We decided to go with Yamich for the stand in. I don't know too much about him but so far he seems really chill guy, very good player. We didn't really discuss whether we let him do whatever or fit in the team. We just play natural and hope for the best results."
GH is currently rank 50 in pubs, an incredible achievement. Despite the nonstop grind, he doesn't remember any particular player he met in pubs. He does however hate a certain habit some players have.
"I don't recall anyone I play with in pubs. I dislike in pubs when people decide to AFK and give up. It really bothers me. Like get one kill on them and go AFK"
DreamLeage Season 26 is the last chance for teams to get EPT points. Nigma Galaxy is 9th on the leaderboard and needs to overtake Avulus to qualify for the main event. But for GH, the focus is never on tournaments, but games themselves.
"Personally I never look at these things, because I learn from my past that having any kind of expectation for anything other than the game itself always adds a layer of pressure, makes you unclear in the head. So I just don't even think about it to be completely honest."
With two days to go, it'll be fascinating to see how GH and the rest of Nigma Galaxy perform before the critical end of the group stage.
