The DPC 2022-2023 Summer Tour has officially kicked off. The first day was filled with surprises as Team Liquid fell short against Entity, and even though Gaimin Gladiators triumphed over Quest Esports, Quest Esports proved that the Gladiators bleed. The series against Gaimin Gladiators was ATF’s debut with Quest Esports. The series went a distance, and despite ATF’s best efforts, it wasn’t enough. Here’s a quick recap of the action that happened.

Game 1

Gaimin Gladiators played a dominant game 1. Quinn was spectacular on his midlane Ember Spirit. During the laning stage, the support duo Mirana and Bounty Hunter made perfect rotations to midlane to enable Quinn. Ace on Doom played perfectly, responding to team fights and disabling crucial targets with his ultimate ability. As the game progressed, the advantage Gaiman had grew. Despite TA2000's best efforts on his signature Morphling, Quest Esports tapped out at 47 minutes.

Game 2

Quest Esports came back with a vengeance in game 2. Both teams traded kills for the bounty rune at the top river rune spawn, and Quest Esports came out on top. Gaimin tried to catch up to the lead Quest got, and they were somewhat successful. Quest tried to grow their advantage further by playing aggressively and forcing Gaimin to respond to their tempo. At first, it seems that Gaimin was shutting Quest’s plans, but as the game process, a crucial back-to-back kill on GG’s hard carry Terrorblade was sufficient for Quest’s game plan. Gaimin desperately tried to siege Quest’s high ground, but it quickly backfired upon them. Having no control of the game no more, at 40 minutes, Gaimin Gladiators tapped out from game 2.

Game 3

Gaimin Gladiators countered Quest’s Timbersaw draft perfectly in game 3. With Quinn on his signature midlane Pangolier and Ace on his offlane Beastmaster, the game was not easy for Quest to execute their game plan. Gaimin drafted Sven as their hard carry to out scale Quest’s hard carry Drow Ranger. Winning the lane stage, Gaimin Gladiators snowballed their advantage into the mid-game. Eventually, it became too much for Quest to handle and at 31 minutes, they tapped out, giving the series to Gaimin Gladiators.
