The Revenge Game: Fnatic to face Evil Geniuses for the VCT Masters Tokyo title
The final day of VCT Masters Tokyo is here. Tomorrow Evil Geniuses will take on Fnatic at the Grand Finals. On the one hand, we have Fnatic, the current overlords and defending champions, and on the other, we have Evil Geniuses, who have been on a Cinderella run to reach the event's grand finals. Along with the fantastic finals, we also watch the new agent preview and TDM showmatch. We already covered Evil Geniuses' journey in the last preview article. You can read it here. The Valorant Perfection - Fnatic:
The biggest winner out of the first Rostermania of Valorant history has to be Fnatic. Getting Leo and Chronicle, two of the best role players in Europe, Fnatic on Paper were dominant. At Lock//in, they proved it and then went undefeated. Until their loss to Team Liquid at VCT EMEA grand finals, Fnatic won over 19 games and lost one game. When Fnatic plays, it is perfectly coordinated, and it seems like a team is playing. The synchronization, the site takes, everything works for Fnatic. They are undeniably the best team at the event.
VCT Masters Tokyo Grand Finals live event preview:
The Grand finals will kick off with the new agent trailer and a showmatch between Team Japan and Team International. The showmatch features multiple streamers and pro players worldwide, taking on each other in the new TDM mode. The agent will also be showcased at the pre-game event.
VCT Masters Tokyo Grand Finals:
Following the showmatch and agent showcase, Fnatic and Evil Geniuses will play in the grand finals. Coming from the upper bracket, Fnatic will get two bans and an advantage, but if there is one team to defeat Fnatic, it has to be Evil Geniuses. Both teams have a similar playstyle and have perfected their game. Fnatic is a better team on paper, but the winner will be purely based on the team making the least mistakes. In their previous encounter, Fnatic barely won over Evil Geniuses, giving EG another motivation to take down Fnatic in the grand finals.
