A new record has been set, with the Rio Major 2022 starting very soon. Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen now becomes the only player to attend every single major.

After the PGL Major Antwerp, Shox and fellow Danish player Xyp9x were the only other two to hold this record. With both Astralis and Apeks failing to qualify for the Rio Major dupreeh is the sole owner of this record. The, now 29 year old, player has created tidal waves with his playing career, meaning he has a story that must be told.

Strong early performances, later inconsistencies

Dupreeh first burst onto the scene with his Danish brethren 3DMAX, soon leaving to find a new home with the CPH Wolves in 2013. His new team were one of the few to play in Dreamhack Winter, the first ever major held in 2013. With other legendary names like device and Xyp9x playing alongside him, the future was looking bright.

He later transferred to Dignitas where a pattern began to emerge. The new Dignitas lineup were knocked out another three times, this is where him and his fellow compatriots would begin to be labeled as chokers. Dupreeh would stand out however as the standalone bright spot among a team of massively underperforming talents.

2015 sparked a change, finding himself among a team of players under the TSM banner, an organization labelled one of the best in the west. This roster included players from the Danish scene who are now the best of all time including new IGL Karrigan. This team yet again did not find any success finding themselves being knocked out in the playoffs of each major. They would fail to make it past the quarter finals in 2 of the 3 majors before reaching the semi-finals during the Cologne Major. This was where the 'Semi-final curse' was born.

Chokers no more

Once 2015 was over, the roster found itself under the legendary, self made Astralis banner. With poor showings in the 2016 majors, failing to reach the final twice, changes were  obviously needed. This brought new talent in Gla1ve and Kjaerbye dawning a new age of Danish talent going into 2017. This year would demolish the choker image, with an ELEAGUE Major title being firmly placed in their trophy cabinet. This would be the first of many to come, but did not come right away with a semi final exit during the PGL Krakow major and a group stage exit during the ELEAGUE Boston 2018 major.

With Kjaerbye's exit going into the next major, many questions were raised with Magisk a player who went under the radar of many replacing him. This would be proven wrong however with them soon being labelled Astralis 2.0. They would go on to win the next three majors, the FaceIt London Major 2018, IEM Katowice 2019 and Starladder Berlin 2019. This would give Astralis 4 majors breaking the previous record of 3 held by the legendary Fnatic roster.

A change of scenery

With a weak performance during the PGL Stockholm major 2021, dupreeh found himself needing a change of scenery. He now finds himself in a Vitality roster where he will play in his second consecutive major with the team.

With Vitality being first in the HLTV rankings, dupreeh will be confident in finding himself a 5 time major winner.
