Dota 2: The International battle pass predictions close in 1 week
This year, the Dota 2 Battle Pass has a new, unique feature. Fans are able to exchange accurate predictions about The International for battle points, which will upgrade their levels. With TI just around the corner and with only 1 week until predictions close, it’s time to get excited for TI11!
As The International is the most highly anticipated esports event of the year, it makes sense that Valve would try to get fans as involved as possible. This is also the first TI since 2019 that will have a live audience so building hype is key part of the event.
Prediction categories - a lot to go at
It’s worth remembering that only those who have purchased or been gifted a battle pass in the actual Dota 2 game will be able to take part in the predictions. Die hard fans of the pro scene probably won’t struggle to know who is the most likely to get the highest assist average but even casual fans can take part. While the predictions for the Qualifiers and Last Chance Qualifiers are already closed, fans can still make 10 individual predictions about:
- Heroes (including most picked, most banned and highest XPM average)
- Teams (including overall winner, highest game length and fewest heroes picked)
- Players (including most kills, highest last hit average and highest GPM average)
- The tournament itself (including total heroes picked, highest number of deaths and shortest game of the tournament).

Who to predict - where to start
Without having kept up with at least a year of Majors, Minors and international DPC leagues, knowing who to predict will have the best outcomes is going to be kind of difficult. Similarly, taking the data from patch 7.32c is a good indicator of drafts, KDAs and win rates across all MMR brackets.
Dota 2 data tracking sites will have a lot of information available but, somewhat surprisingly, the top Dota 2 betting sites will also provide odds that can point fans in the right direction. With TI being such a huge event, there are usually a lot of markets and odds provided by experts available. It seems easier to choose predictions based on larger pools of data than individual experience, even for players who are committed to playing every day.
Not long now - just a few more days
The International 11 Last Chance Qualifiers are due to begin on October 8th and with teams already beginning to arrive in Singapore, fans can be making the most of their Battle Pass predictions. Even without a ton of background research or watching hundreds of hours of DPC leagues, a quick stab in the dark could be worth a decent amount of points. It all means a step closer to the Crystal Maiden, PA, Razor and Faceless Void arcanas and personas.
