Cloud9, a professional esports organization, announced that Timofey "interz" Yakushin is no longer a part of their CSGO team. Interz was previously moved to the inactive roster in January to make room for Timur "buster" Tulepov and can now explore his options in the market as a free agent.

The Past:

Interz, who is 22 years old, had spent close to four years playing alongside the core of Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov, Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, and Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov. This partnership started in 2019 with Gambit Youngsters. Ultimately, he was removed from the active roster in January following a poor end to the team's 2022 season.

Interz was a key contributor to Gambit's dominance in the late stages of the online era. The CIS quintet earned first-place finishes at IEM Katowice 2021 and BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021, earning the No. 1 spot on the world ranking. The Russian core remained at the top of the ladder until Natus Vincere dethroned them in July of that year following their win at IEM Cologne.

The Present:

The team briefly competed under the Players banner before being acquired by Cloud9 in April 2022. And it was with their new organization that interz lifted his first big event trophy at IEM Dallas. Interz's performances in the later stages of the tournament caught the eye. Recording a 1.47 rating against BIG in the semi-finals and a 1.29 score in the last match against ENCE. These were significant overperformances compared to his average 0.99 rating in 2022.

However, interz did not maintain the same level of consistency throughout the rest of the year. He only managed to record one event in the green with Cloud9. With a 1.08 rating at ESL Pro League Season 16. Cloud9's last tournament with interz was the IEM Rio Major. And the team was expected to make a challenge for the trophy after the elimination of favorites such as Vitality and Natus Vincere in the Legends Stage. However, the team faltered in the playoffs and were knocked out by MOUZ in the quarter-finals.

The Future:

Interz's departure from Cloud9 means he is now a free agent and can explore his options in the market. It remains to be seen where he will end up. But his past success with Gambit and impressive performances at IEM Dallas could make him a valuable addition to any team looking to bolster its roster. For Cloud9, this means they will have to look for a replacement for interz. As they continue to compete in various esports tournaments.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
