Belgian Legacy

Brother duo and teammates Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom are set to transfer to Karmine Corp., a French esports organization that recently entered Valorant, according to Nel.

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom as a figure, has already cemented his legacy within esports as one of myth, having reached the summit of competition in 2 games during his career, Counter Strike (CS) and now Valorant. During his CS career, he distinguished himself as one of the most talented aimers in the world, having earned the moniker of the ‘edshot machine.’ At his peak, he boasted a 65.8% headshot percentage against a top-thirty team, a feat that no one to this day has topped.

Despite never earning that podium finish at a CS major, the 28-year-old has accomplished far more than most other players ever will and had successfully carved his name on the annals of CS history. Transitioning to Valorant, he joined the ranks of Team Liquid and went on to display that age was nothing but a number, putting up numbers rivalling players a decade his junior whilst shot calling.

Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom began his career as the player most known for being the younger brother of the infamous ‘ScreaM’ but has since made a name for himself. Starting as the sixth man for Team Vitality’s CS roster, he distinguished himself through star level performances that were reminiscent of his brother in his heydays, showcasing that sometimes, it just lies in those genes.

He then transitioned to Valorant, joining his brother on Team Liquid, where he demonstrated that his aim was not where the talent stopped. Playing the controller role within the roster, a role that typically demanded more passiveness due to the importance of keeping the utility alive through the rounds, “Nivera” showed that he was more than capable of carrying as well as closing out those crucial rounds for his team.

French Roots

Karmine Corp., who made partnership for the upcoming VCT 2023, had previously fielded an all-French team since May 2022, but had little results to show for it. Their strongest result thus far was a top four finish at the 2022 Valorant Regional Leagues France: Revolution Stage 2.

As a relatively new organization to tactical shooters, there is room for fanbase growth, however, this is aided in due part by their pre-existing League of Legends roster, which itself plays in the La Ligue Française (LFL).

With this new roster move, alongside rumours of former CSGO player Alexander “xms” Forté joining as well, EMEA could very well have a new sheriff in town.

As of now, the Karmine Corp. roster looks as follows (pending rumours):

  • Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom
  • Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom
  • Alexander “xms” Forté
