Ahead of VCT 2023, The french esports organization Karmine Corp announced the addition of Scream, Nivera and XMS to the roster. Karmine Corp Valorant will also include Shin and Newzera from the old roster. With Scream and Nivera headlining the roster, the team will be looking to leave their impact in the International scene.

Karmine Corp Valorant:

The French multi-esports organization, Karmine Corp, stepped into Valorant along with the introduction of the Valorant Regional League. The organization signed TakaS, mikeee, Amilwa, Shin, and Newzera to the roster. Along with the head coach pm and Ze1sh. The team competed in the VRL 2022 France and placed 3rd-4th after losing to Vitality. While the team did not achieve much success in the Valorant scene, the organisations rapport and fanbase helped them apply for the 2023 Valorant Partnership Program.

Brothers in Arms: Scream & Nivera:

Adil "Scream" Benrlitom was one of the most fabled CSGO players. Referred to as EdShot Machine, Scream made a name for himself with exceptional precision. When Valorant rolled around, Scream was one of the first CSGO pros to switch, along with fish123 he signed with Team Liquid for playing Valorant professionally.

With Scream, Team Liquid Valorant was one of the strongest teams in the region and won the VCT Stage 2 Challengers EMEA 2021 and made a deep run in Valorant's first LAN. Scream and team Liquid saw moderate results and were a constant name in International LANs.

Scream's brother Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom debuted with Vitality in CSGO. Still, when Liquid needed a fifth for VCT 2021 EMEA LCQ, Nivera joined the squad and started his Valorant career with a first-round ace. Together with Scream, Nivera helped the team win the LCQ and place 3rd-4th in the Valorant Champions 2021.

With Scream's firepower and Nivera's clutch potential, Team Liquid had moderate success in 2022 but always failed to make a deeper run in the playoff stage of the major competition.

The team again made a strong LCQ in 2022, winning VCT EMEA LCQ 2022 to qualify for the champions, defeating Acend, M3C. The team, though, did not make a major impact at the Valorant Champions ending their 2022 Valorant season.

Reports of both brothers departing from Liquid soon came, and finally, yesterday, Team Liquid Twitter announced the departure of Scream and Nivera.

The roster will likely compete in the Red Bull HomeGround tournament. Under the veteran presence of Scream and XMS, the organization will look to reach new heights.

  • Alexandre "XMS" Forte
