Blast.tv Paris Major Americas RMR Day 4 Recap
The Blast.tv Paris Major American RMR kicked off on 6th April. 16 teams will face off against each other in a Swiss Format bracket to qualify for the Paris Major.
Round 4 of the American RMR took place on 9th April. All matches were BO3. 6 remaining teams faced off against each other to secure their seat in the Challengers Stage. While 2 teams duked it out for 1st Place to get to the Legends Stage.
Round 4 Matches
Game 1: Complexity vs MIBR
First game of the day saw Complexity make easy work of MIBR, as they won the series 2-0. Complexity had a stellar CT-side on Inferno, winning the map 16-6. MIBR did manage to fight back on Nuke, but they couldn’t do enough as Complexity won 16-12. It was FaNg leading the table with 49 kills and a 1.40 rating.
Game 2: Fluxo vs Paqueta
Fluxo managed to clinch the spot in Challengers Stage by beating Brazilian brethren Paqueta 2-0 in the series. First map was Overpass, picked by Paqueta. Both teams knocked heads in the map, but in the end, it was Fluxo who came out on top at 16-13. On their pick of Nuke, Fluxo had an easier time. Almost completely dominating their CT-side, they won the map 16-9. Lucaozy sat at the top of the table with 47 kills and a 1.29 rating.
Game 3: Liquid vs Nouns
Both Liquid and Nouns were quite determined to get into the Challengers Stage. But in the end, it was Liquid who managed to pull through in the series at 2-1. Both teams showed up on the other teams picks. Liquid stole the show on Nouns’ pick of Inferno at 16-11. Nouns fought tooth and nail on Liquid’s pick of Ancient. Even though Liquid managed to push the map into overtime, Nouns won the map 19-16. Final map was Nuke, where Liquid had a dominant performance. They won 16-9, on the back of a stellar CT-side in the first half. It was YEKINDAR at the top of the table with 71 kills, and a 1.31 rating.
Complexity Gaming, Fluxo, and Team Liquid have qualified for the Blast.tv Paris Major in the Challengers Stage.
1st Place Tiebreaker
Game 4: paiN vs Furia
paiN Gaming and Furia went head-to-head to take a spot in the Legends stage. It was Furia who came out on top of this Brazilian Derby. Both teams beat each other on their own map picks. paiN took the win at 16-11 on Liquid’s pick of Overpass. Liquid returned the favor on paiN’s pick of Vertigo at 16-8. Mirage was the decider where both teams locked horns. But it was Furia who managed to come out on top and win the map 16-14. They won the series 2-1 and secured their spot in the Legends stage. KSCERATO continues his amazing performance, yet again topping the table with 65 kills and a 1.25 rating.
