The Quarterfinals of the Blast Spring Finals 2023 brought us 2 very exciting games of Counter Strike. Two teams have been sent home, while two others move on ahead to fight in the Semi Finals.

Game 1: Faze Clan vs Team Vitality

Team Vitality managed to show Faze Clan why they are considered one of the best teams in the world, as they beat the international outfit 2-0 in the series.

Vitality removed Ancient

FaZe removed Vertigo

Vitality picked Anubis

FaZe picked Mirage

Vitality removed Inferno

FaZe removed Nuke

Overpass was left over

It was an even start for both teams on Anubis. Even though Faze managed to take the lead early on, Vitality managed to turn it around. The Golden buzzers ended the first half 8-7. Faze had an explosive start in the second half, managing to get 6 rounds out of 7 to put them at 13. Vitality answered back by getting 6 of their own to get to Map Point. But Faze secured the remaining two rounds to push the map into Overtime. Overtime was completely dominated by Vitality, as they won 4 of the 6 to take the map 19-17.

Moving on to Mirage, Faze were completely out of their depth here. Vitality had a stellar CT0side to end the first half at 9-6. They carried this momentum forward in the second half, as the Last Major Winners gave Faze only 2 rounds, before snatching up the map at 16-8.

Game 2: Imperial Esports vs Complexity Gaming

Fallen and his crew did not allow Complexity to advance any further, indicating that their luck had run out. Imperial won the series 2-0.

Complexity removed Mirage

Imperial removed Anubis

Complexity picked Vertigo

Imperial picked Overpass

Complexity removed Nuke

Imperial removed Ancient

Inferno was left over

Vertigo was a heavily CT-favored map as both teams had stellar CT-sides. In the first half, Imperial showed off their prowess, as the Brazilian roster left Complexity no room for error. Showing off a dominant CT-side, they ended the first half 11-4. But Complexity answered back with a commanding CT-side of their own. Doing the same with Imperial, they managed to equalize the map at 14-14. But Imperial were the better team in this duel, as they managed to take the final two rounds of the map to take the win at 16-14.

Overpass was a much more one-sided affair, as Imperial managed to completely dominate Complexity. On their T-side, Imperial showed off a masterclass, as they only allowed Complexity to win 3 rounds. They ended the first half 12-3. The North American outfit started off strong in the second half, managing to win 3 rounds right off the bat. But Imperial quickly shut it down, and responded with a 4 round win streak of their own to take the map 16-6.

Teams FaZe Clan and Complexity Gaming have eliminated from the Blast Premier Spring Finals.

The Semi Finals:

Vitality will face G2 Esports, while Imperial will go head=to-head against Heroic in the Semi Finals of the Blast Premier Spring Finals 2023.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
