BLAST Slam VI: Format, Schedule, Fixtures and More
BLAST Slam VI brings the series to Malta, where 12 teams will fight for their share of a one million dollar prize pool. Let’s take a look at how the event is organized and how the schedule was structured.
Tundra Esports are the standing four-time champions and will once again try to extend their reign. Is this streak the result of BLAST failing to properly balance their seeding, or does Tundra deserve full credit for mastering the series’ organization?

BLAST Slam VI: Invited and Qualified Teams
We usually start by talking about the invited and qualified teams, but we already listed all of them in a separate article covering the qualifiers, which is available here.

Since Tundra Esports, Team Falcons and MOUZ placed in the Top 4 at both BLAST Slam IV and BLAST Slam V, three additional slots became available. This opened space for Team Liquid, OG, and Team Spirit to receive direct invites.
BLAST Slam VI: Organization
BLAST Slam VI follows the same standard structure since BLAST IV. If you’re not familiar with the new format, here’s a summarized breakdown:
- Group Stage — A round-robin format with best-of-one matches. The top two teams advance directly to the Playoff Semifinals.
- Last Chance Playoff — Teams that placed 9th to 12th in groups will battle for a spot at the Play-In. Two matchups. Winner goes forward, loser is eliminated. All matches are best-of-three from this point on.
- Play-In Stage — Teams that finished 3rd to 8th get one more shot at advancing to the playoffs. Four matchups. Winner goes to Playoffs Quarterfinals, loser is eliminated.
- Playoffs & Grand Finals — Single elimination, best-of-five matches across the board including Grand Finals.
This time, the Group Stage starts on February 3 and runs until February 5. The Last Chance Playoff and the Play-In will take place from February 6 to February 8. The Playoffs begin on February 13 and continue through February 15.
BLAST Slam VI: Talent
The broadcast lineup brings back familiar names from BLAST Slam V. The main host will once again be Natalie “NatTea” Mahoney. There is a tweet that lists the talent roster.
Among the returning talent, we also have Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt and Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, who continues to consolidate his post–pro player career.

Matches to Watch
February 3
On the first day of groups at BLAST Slam VI, Team Spirit has some of the most interesting matchups. Spirit are in a relatively unstable moment and tired after coming out of the FISSURE Universe Grand Finals. They will face Team Liquid and MOUZ.
While Team Liquid is currently in a moment of crisis, MOUZ is slowly finding its place among Tier 1 teams, winning tournaments and important matchups.
February 4
The defending champions will take over Stream A on the second day of BLAST Slam VI, facing a variety of teams. Tundra Esports will play against squads from Western and Eastern Europe, followed by teams from North and South America.
MOUZ will test their strength against the champions, while Heroic will face a big challenge for their renewed roster, which recently hired a new midlaner.
February 5
On the final day of groups, Team Falcons will face several European powerhouses on Stream A. Among them, Tundra Esports will once again try to punch their ticket straight to the Playoffs.

If Team Falcons succeed in securing a Playoff Semifinal seed, this will be the fourth consecutive time they are seeded alongside Tundra Esports at the BLAST Slam.
Closing Thoughts
Despite the lasting imbalance in playoff seeding, the BLAST Slam remains an innovative and engaging event from start to finish, and it has consistently improved since its debut.
BLAST Slam VI will further build on the series and on the legacy of Tundra Esports, who may become the tournament’s first five-time back-to-back champions.
