The Final Round, Round 5, of the Blast R6 Copenhagen Major came to an end on the 3rd of May 2023. The 6 remaining teams went head-to-head against each other to snatch that final qualification spot.

Round 5

Game 1: SZ vs SSG

SZ managed to take the first spot, as they managed to beat SSG 2-1 in the series. SSG started off strong , taking the first map Oregon 7-3, off the back of a 4 round win streak. SZ returned the favor on Chalet, as they took the map 7-4 off the back of a 4 round win streak of their own. SZ had a terrific start on Villa, and capitalized on this to win the map 7:4. SSG bit the bitter bullet of elimination.

Game 2: VirtusPro vs MNM

MNM took spot number 2 as they swept the floor with VirtusPro 2-0. MNM started things off quite dominant, taking the first map in a flawless 7-0 manner. VP was able to save face, as they managed to put up a fight on Villa. But this was still not enough as MNM took the map 7-5. MNM eliminate VirusPro from the Blast R6 Copenhagen Major.

Game 3: Wolves vs Liquid

Liquid got the second 2-0 of the day as they beat Wolves in the final matchup of the day. On Oregon, both teams put up quite a fight. But in the end, Team Liquid came out on top as they won the map 7-5. It was a similar story on Clubhouse, where WOLVES fell just short, and had to watch in despair as Team Liquid took another 7:5. Wolves have been eliminated from the Blast R6 Copenhagen Major.

The Final Stage

W7m, MNM, Soniqs, NIP, Faze Clan, SZ, G2 and Liquid will face off in a bracket style stage, and the winner of this will be granted the title of Major Champions.
