The Quarterfinals of the Blast Premier World Finals featured some of the best teams in the event, but we saw the number 1 and 2 teams already eliminated from the competition. The Quarterfinals started with Navi taking on Team Liquid, followed by G2 Esports taking on Vitality. Faze and OG are already in the semifinals and will wait for their opponents.

Blast Premier World Finals Quarter Finals Recap:

Team Liquid 2-1 Natus Vincere:

Coming into the series, Navi was struggling. Liquid's performance showed an upward trajectory. In the previous Blast Premier event, Liquid was able to outshine Navi and secure a win against S1mple and co.

The series started on Liquid's Overpass. Starting on the T side, Liquid struggled initially but clawed back to secure a three-round lead at the end of the first half. They carried this three-round lead and converted it into a solid 16-10 map victory.

Navi looked dazed after the map loss and struggled to find their footing on Ancient. Liquid used this opportunity to trample the Navi defence to win the first half of the second half 11-4. Liquid extended the lead to 13-4, but Navi slowly clawed back, coming back from an eleven round-deficit to win the game 16-14 to force a third map.

Despite a surprising loss, Liquid did not lose their composure and played the final map calmly, adjusting to the Navi attack and taking the first half of mirage 10-5. Now, as Ts, they lost the pistol but closed the map 16-9 and won the series 2-1. They will now face OG in the semifinals tomorrow. Navi was disappointed again and will surely bring some changes to the roster.

Team Vitality 1-2 G2 Esports:

G2 Esports look good in the tournament, except for a minor hiccup against Faze Clan. G2 has been phenomenal, especially m0NESY, who has been putting in superstar numbers. Vitality themselves have a superstar in Zywoo. Both teams have struggled a lot throughout the year and need a solid year-end. The match started on Nuke of G2.

m0NESY popped off on the T-side and helped G2 with 12 rounds in half. G2 carried on the momentum and won the first map.

Vertigo started well for Vitality despite a 4-4 start. Vitality pulled ahead of G2 and secured a 9-6 first half on their T side. G2 strung seven rounds in the second half and was in the lead. Vitality displayed resilience and won the last two rounds to force an OT and eventually win the map 19-15 to force a third.

The final map started with intense back and forth between the teams. G2 and Vitality struggled to pull a lead, and the first half ended in a tie. The second half also started with both teams exchanging rounds, but G2 started to read Vitality's defence. G2 finally started to pull ahead and won the map 16-11 and secured the semi final rematch against Faze tomorrow.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
