As The International 12 (TI12) concludes, a new chapter in Dota 2 begins.

The post-TI roster shuffle is an exciting time in the Dota 2 competitive year, as players leave and join different teams, with every org trying to get the best team possible to prepare for the competitive season ahead.

It's only been a few hours yet Beastcoast has already made a huge change, announcing that their entire Dota 2 lineup is being released.

After South America broke several records in 2022, Valve invested in the region, giving them more slots in the TI12 open qualifier, as well as hosting the first Major in the region.

Beastcoast did well in their home region, they were the champions of the first two DPC Tours and took second place in the last Tour.

When it came to International tournaments, the team faltered. They placed last in Riyadh Masters 2023 and TI12, the two most prestigious events of the year.

Beastcoast only had decent results at the Bali Major with a top-eight finish and BetBoom Dacha, but it was still an underwhelming result for the squad.

Adjustments were made to the team, with Héctor "K1" Rodríguez leaving the squad and getting replaced by David "Parker" Nicho Flores.

K1 won that trade, as he joined Nouns and placed top eight at TI12, the highest result among all South American players.

Parker performed well at the same event but not enough to escape elimination from the group stage.

In their Twitter announcement, Beastcoast reaffirmed their dedication to Dota 2, telling fans they will be competing in the region next year.

"As TI concludes, teams worldwide are gearing up to claim next year's aegis. Our players are no exception as they're actively seeking for the right mix of talent and synergy. And we, at Beastcoast, are dedicated to working with them to accomplish their goals.

Most importantly, their pursuit of excellence reflects our commitment to SA Dota, and we'll continue nurturing our region's talent on the global stage"

With the DPC gone, it will be exciting to see how the competitive scene evolves and how each region adapts to the changes.

Beastcoast released roster:

  • David "Parker" Nicho Flores
  • Gonzalo "DarkMago" Herrera
  • Rafael "Sacred" Yonatan
  • Elvis "Scofield" Peña
  • Steven "StingeR" Vargas
