Adam “Adam Maanane will not be playing for BDS this coming weekend according to the team. The announcement comes a day before BDS’ elimination series against MAD Lions KOI.

In his stead, BDS is looking to sub in their in-house Academy Top Laner, Janik “JNX” Bartels to play for the main roster tomorrow. Moreover, the reason given by BDS was of an ‘unforeseen’ nature and the organization/roster has been given approval for the emergency substitution of JNX.

At The Eleventh Hour

Right before BDS’ defining moment of the Winter Split, they find themselves without their magnetic Top Laner. Adam, who has carved out a strong following in the LEC for his innovative and bold playstyle, has proven himself to be an integral force on the Rift for BDS and his absence will be sorely noted.

Furthermore, BDS’s Playoffs run now rests in the Lower Bracket after a loss to G2 on the 11th now see them one Bo5 away from either making the Grand Finals or seeing their journey end here and now for the Winter Split.

In his personal tweet, Adam addressed his absence briefly, stating that he would not be able to play the end of the split. Moreover, he emphasised that he would only return in Spring, meaning that regardless of tomorrow’s outcome, BDS will ride or die for the rest of Winter without Adam.
