After a very shaky 2022, The legendary Astralis CSGO has added Christian "Buzz" Anderson as the final and fifth member of the roster. This follows the return of Dev1ce to the team. Buzz will replace Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen. MistR will return to the Astralis Talent lineup after a brief 2-month stint on the main roster.

Astralis' 2022:

After the departure of Dupreeh Magisk and Dev1ce from the roster, Astralis added k0nfig and BlameF along with Lucky. But the team struggled to stay in top form and could not get a notable result at the year's first major. The team has not won a single event since 2019, and the trend continued in 2022. When Lucky did not work, Astralis got farlig, but the struggle continued.

In October, because of k0nfig's altercation, Astralis parted ways with k0nfig. In the same month, the beloved Devveking returned home and, in his return match, fragged out, dropping 55 kills in a 2-0 overhaul. While Dev1ce is in great form, the team struggled in CCT Europe and lost to Tricked.

Astralis prepare for 2023 CSGO season:

With such a disappointing 2022, Astralis needed to make changes ahead of 2023. The team already has four key pieces in Dev1ce, and BlameF, who both have been exceptional. Gla1ve and Xyp9x have decent performances. Astralis picked Buzz from the Danish organization Masonic to round out the roster. Buzz is an upcoming danish rifler who just won the Danish power league, Beating Astralis Talent in the Grand finals.

Peter "casle" Ardenskjold, the coach of Astralis, says:

In relation to the specific role on the team, we have some very specific requirements and have kept an eye on "Buzz" for a long time. He has some extraordinary qualities, and the deeper we got into the work with the new set-up, the clearer it became to me that "Buzz" not only has a lot of the energy and attitude we are looking for, he also has the qualities to give the team a real boost. I believe Buzz will make a real difference.

With Buzz in the roster and the role changes, it will be interesting to see how the new Astralis will perform. Their performance will largely depend on how Buzz will adapt to the team and how players adapt to the new roles.

The Astralis 2023 CSGO Lineup will be:

  • Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth
  • Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
  • Benjamin "BlameF" Bremer
  • Nicolai "Dev1ce" Reedtz
  • Christian "Buzz" Anderson
  • Peter "casle" Ardenskjold

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
