The French League of Legends fans are already celebrating Team BDS’ triumph at the Worlds 2023 Play-in stage. But it is not the only exciting news for the French League fans this week.  Karmine Corp, a leading French Esports organization has announced their entry into the League of Legends EMEA Championship 2023.

Earlier today, 18th October, on his livestream, the Owner/CEO of Karmine Corp, Kamel “Kameto” Kebir confirmed Karmine Corp’s entry into the LEC. The organisation celebrated their entry with the following post:

Karmine Corp - A Brief History of their LoL division:

In March 2020, Kamel “Kameto” Kebir established Kameto Corp. Kameto, the popular French streamer, led the project. They entered League of Legends through La Ligue Française Div 2. Similar to Disguised Toast’s Esports venture, KametoCorp amassed a massive fan base due to the streamer's reputation.

Despite the strong 12-6 record in their first split, they failed to secure the LFL promotion.

KametoCorp dropped its roster. Later Amine “Prime” Mekri  joined the project as a co-owner and the organization re-branded to Karmine Corp. They were promoted to LFL taking Team Oplon’s slot. The team has since been a top LFL team, always contesting for the top spot with mainstays such as Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet and Lucas "Saken" Fayard. They recently won the LFL Summer 2023 and subsequent EMEA Masters 2023.

The Future Holds Strong

The recent KCX3 event was arguably one of the most amazing esports events operated by an esports team. Hosted by Paris La Defense Arena with a capacity of 25000, Karmine Corp filled the stadium with passionate fans. As the day played out, Karmine Corp's roster in League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros and Valorant took on teams visiting from around the world. An event of this nature further showed the impact Karmine Corp has had on French League of Legends, and esports as a whole.

During the event, Kameto also confirmed their plans to operate a dedicated esports arena.

And by the end, Kameto hinted to fans at the potential of an LEC slot in the near future. Today, he further teased with a clip of Luffy's Gear 5 teaser, a known mascot of the team.

Kameto finally announced on his stream that KCorp will be joining the LEC in 2024. The team they will replace is yet to be confirmed.

Karmine Corp’s entry into the LEC has been long speculated. With an amazing fan base and their meteoric rise to the top, they definitely will take LEC to newer heights.
